When Sacred Fashion posted up a glimpse into her starting in SL, and then turned it into a blogger challenge, I couldn’t help but to do it. I mean really, when we first all came in world, we looked noobish. Most of us coming in world around 2006-2007 when the whole fashion/skin/shape industry of SL was not as prominent as it is now.
I remember it taking me MONTHS to save up L’s just for a cute new outfit, and OMG, I was the QUEEN of freebie shopping, picking up EVERYTHING under the sun no matter how hideous it looked, just so I would have some variety in my clothing *smiles*
So here is a photo view for all the loyal Shop*gasm readers. The “evolution” of Suitelady DeCuir…
I started in world on April 28th, 2007 for my second attempt at seeing how cool SL was. I did originally join back in 2006, but found the grid hard to navigate, and never found many places to make friends. Also still dealing with the recent death of my mother in RL, I left for about a year before making another entrance.
2007 until Present…..
I know I know its small. I still shudder when I see this photo, apparently at one time I thought this was a rather, um… edge and attractive look? This is one of those “What in the sam hell were you thinking” I don’t remember much about this look to be honest, I have completely blocked it from memory..LOL
This photo is from almost a year later when I met a friend of mine off livejournal, and she told me that she played Second Life. She is one of the reasons that I actually came back in world. I was pointed to ETD, and immediately fell in love with their hair. At the time aside from Gurl6, ETD was the place for awesome hair. Still wearing the newbie skin, I also stumbled upon and paid for my shape. Yes it is the SAME SHAPE I wear today. That I have never changed, and its very doubtful I ever will. It was modeled after a Playgirl Model, but the store is no longer in world, and for that I feel kinda lucky to have a one-of-a-kind (in my mind at least).
WOW, back in the latter part of 2008, when I discovered cuffs, and REFUSED to take them off my person. This is from Christmas time as you can tell by my awful attempt of making Santa clothing sexy… LMAO
The skin – The oBscene Ganesha, I have since deleted after a massive inventory clean (read my previous posting). But I wore it for the better part of a year. Never changing it, never getting different makeups etc.
Also note, I didnt have tattoos at this time… YET.
Sometime between the latter part of 2008 into 2009, I was lost. This is me re-emerging as my own. My love for [42] skins quite apparent in my inventory as at the time, I had every skin they had released. I was in love with shopping.
Big fan of Zaara, Truth, Potassium, League, SG, Deviant Kitties, and of course, still ETD until they left for some time.
Early 2009 was my year to discover myself. To make Suite, who I though she was, and make her look AWESOME, quite a leap from my early beginnings, but omg what a change.
This is the current version of Suite <3 *Click for a larger photo*
I can’t tell you where I get my eyes or skin, that's a secret :p But she is the recent incarnation of who I am in world. Still rocking the shape I bought so long ago, still loving the red hair, I have worn it since coming in somewhat full-time, that Suite without red hair or this tattoo is just a HUGE no-no.
Thanks to the discovery of fashion blogs for SL, and subsequently becoming one myself with my sisters, my experience has only been improved, 10-fold. So thank you :)

Twenty-Ten – Starting Fresh….
I know I know, I “should” be making some kind of earth breaking and mind boggling New Years resolution, but I have decided to share a secret with everyone :)
See when I first started in SL, I was the QUEEN of freebie shopping. I would search for malls, for ANYTHING that was free because at the time I had $0L to my name. Then after getting a job in world, and discovering my love for shopping & fashion, I quickly saw that I had created a monster. Now think… tons of freebies, then add to it tons of paid for clothes, along with textures, body parts, dances, huds, objects etc… can you see where I am going with this? INVENTORY HELL!!!!!
So my dear blessed Shop*gasm reader I bring you… “Suite’s Guide To Keeping Your Shit Organized!”

Pictured to the left, is a snapshot into the wonderful craziness that is my inventory. Now as you can see it is NOW manageable on an OCD level, however, it took days to get it like this.
My method of madness was like so….
1) Start at the first item in your inventory and work all the way though.
2) TRY ON EVERYTHING
3) If you not longer wish to keep it – DELETE IT
4) Create folders – as you see on the left. I found that I had more favourite designers than I had say “Dresses, pants etc”5) Move said items into their corresponding folders, and you will see that as you work though your MASSIVE inventory, that it starts to have some structure and organization to it.
6) DO NOT rename the original folders that the items came in or else your pretty much screwed when it comes to wanting to find that hot number you wore to that kick ass party 6 months ago, but can’t remember the name.
7) My #1 rule for creating folders for specific designers…. if I have more than 10 items from a specific store, then they get their own folder. Otherwise, the rest are divvied up between – Gowns, dresses, pants, shirts and so on.

Pictured right is what I have done with my body parts folder. When you first start your avi you should make a “default folder” this will house your shape, eyes, skin, tattoo, and any other thing you wear on your person ALL THE TIME. Then I broke it down to HUD’s, my eye collection, hair, nails, etc.
If you follow these simple steps your out-of-control inventory can quickly become and organizational surprise. I never in a million years thought that I would get through all my 15,000+ items to do this, but I did. 1hr a day over a couple of weeks and I was done. So if I can do it, YOU can certainly do it. These practices can also be applied to your notecards, and objects folders, making it more streamline for you.
p.s. if you buy something new, put it in its proper folder asap! So it doesn’t get out of control again.
So there you have it lovies <3
xoxo,
Suite

Secrets Revealed = an endless search
So, I find myself sitting here torn about whether or not to write this post. Why? Well for one, it reveals something I consider personal, but in order to explain why I've chosen this outfit, I have to reveal something about myself... I am not your typical SL Mistress. I don't run around parading the fact that I have a submissive, nor do I command that other people call me Miss, Mistress, or anything else but Rose. So here we are. The "casual" Dominant revealed. I know, some of you are sitting back going WTF, while others are like, well you're not a real dome. Here's what I believe on the subject, D/s is what YOU are comfortable with. So if you're into kneeling at every one's feet calling them Miss, Sir, Mistress, Master, then that's totally your call.
You know when you go to the grocery store, or are sitting at a restaurant, and you look over at a couple and the gentleman is really attentive to the lady, and you think "Wow she's got him trained, or whipped" or something to that effect, that's the aire I like to give to others about my "status" in the D/s community. *grins*
At any rate... I am what I am... the problem however, which is why we're getting this little glimpse into my private life, is that in Second life, there either lacks the imaginative presence to be, or people just are so comfortable with the "norm" that I can't find some suitable "Dom my" clothes. Until recently... Oh sure there's tons of stuff out there, you just gotta find what works for you... wow we're back to that again!? Anyway, I'm not into Latex. In fact, I dislike latex so much
that I have taken to calling it craptex. I know, not very creative of me... but then there it is... fitting into a D/s community though, when you're not wearing latex, a whip, and some really weird looking thigh high boots, is difficult. Because you're either wearing the aforementioned craptex, boots, and whip, or you're wearing silks and kneeling. That's it. Cut and dry.... So, I bring you my Hodge podge outfit that I've put together. I really like it... it's got a hint of whimsy with a bit of bad ass all mixed into one. I think I still look "Dom my"... What do you think?

The outfit is a bit of Husky GFX!!! , Silent Sparrow, and CoCo - I love Silent Sparrows stuff,
sometimes it's a bit too much though, and Husky, well, I could spend a fortune there.

Also shown:
Those bad ass arm bracers rose is always wearing - nope still not gonna tell
MaxEyez - Custom Bi-Color Neko Eyes
Dahlinks - Monroe & lip piercings
So there we have it. One Dom outfit that includes no latex, no whips, and no boots up to your you know what. ENJOY!! Where do YOU like to shop for Dome Gear?
