The NEW Face of RP ... ?

Imagine yourself in a rainforest. Lush greens, blues, the call of nature behind you, soaring through the air on some of the most mystical creatures you've ever seen.  You turn and spy something, but you're not sure what it is... But you hear choppers whirring, machine guns rattling and quiet... Something jumps out and startles you and you're not sure what you've seen! Now tell me...how do you see yourself? Are you one who explores or are you an indigenous creature of the land you picture...could you possibly look like this?

Presenting the Nav'itar from De La Fae Productions!!

If this face is looking incredibly familiar...then you've guessed it. The Nav'itar is a replica of the newest action movie "Avatar" scheduled out this month in theaters nationwide!!  LeRochelle, head of De La Fae Productions, a store dedicated to bringing you some of THE BEST Anthro avatars I have ever seen (trust me...if you saw my collection, you'd understand why I work so much...it's to buy her avatars!!), has released this homage to James Cameron's newest theatrical creation.

The Nav'itar is a bioluminescent (say THAT ten times fast :P) race of avatar that is simply stunning. The skin has an amazing amount of detail: from the earrings to the white flecks that cover the body so that when the lighting hits it JUST right...it's amazing.  And it's not just a highlight here or there...this is full body coverage, including the shading on the tail.

Coming as a total package (L$2700 - I know I know...but you get the TOTAL package) of: skin, shape, hair, eyes, silks (not pictured), choice of accented or unaccented tail and accents for both legs and hair, you are sure to get your money's worth. Or you can buy just the base avatar (I think it was L$2000 even), with the hair & headdress (shown to left) coming in separately at L$250 and the clothing at L$450.

Now...instead of using the default shape (the shape was a little too tall and thin for me) and eyes (the yellow eyes were a bit much for me when I tried them on),  I used my regular shape (a custom I've had since I first got to SL) and my older eyes to help bring this avatar to life in a different way. I did buy the hair because well...lookit the headdress (points up)!!

I did however decide to use my own hair and silks to make a look all my own.and hopefully, I did ok! I don't know if there's an RP sim here yet for this splended adventure, but I am pretty sure that if/WHEN it arrives...I'll be ready to do battle!!  So head on down to De La Fae and get ready for your chance to defend your people in what I predict will be the most epic of RP sims to EVER hit SL (if it ever arrives *winks*).

Here Comes Winter…

What better way to rush in the Holiday Season, then with some nice fashions?  Warm snugglies?  Yes, we love both here at Shop*gasm, and we don’t stop until we are completely satisfied!
Ladies today I bring you the joys of Mix & Match!  For most of us women, and some of our men, we pride ourselves on having the best, hottest, sexiest put together outfits on the grid.  Recently I have been experimenting with M&M and have to admit, sometimes the outfits I come up with myself, are BETTER than the pre-packaged ones that we all spend a fortune on just to look good.  So the next time that you wanna go for a certain look, rummage through that mess that is your inventory and see what you already have, perhaps all you will need to add is an accessory or a cute sweater *winks*  Which is what my case was last night! 
I wanted a casual, yet sexy look to wander SL in.  I didn’t want to be overly sexy, wasn’t in the mood to attract that kind of attention.  So I tossed on some jeans, sneakers, and my glasses.  The one thing I COULD NOT FIND was a decent sweater.  It seems that my closet is lacking in that department.  So off I went to NyteN’Day.  I see their adds all the time across the feeds, and decided I would check it out.  Now, while most their clothes are lacking in detail and for me personally are slightly on the newbish side, they are relatively inexpensive, and if you spend some time and look closely at what they have you will find a jem, like I did with this sweater!

It’s cute, it’s red, and it accents what I already had on!  Totally the look I wanted to go for and it only cost me $75L!   Now don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with fashioned that are not detailed up the ying/yang, sometimes that actually hinders the pieces, not one bit, but after my shopping experience at NyteN’Day, I can say with certainty, unless they have something STELLAR in their subscribo notices, I won’t willingly go back – because I am picky!  Not because of their clothing on a whole.

Skin, Eyes, Shape – As much as I enjoy that people post where they get their skins and shapes, I have taken great pride in my look, and love the fact that I have yet to run into someone who “looks like me”, for this reason, I will never reveal the source of theses three items.  I enjoy my uniqueness to the fullest ♥

So remember that time that we told you there was a third who will someday be able to keep up with her two shopping a.d.d. ridden cohorts?  Yeah...that's me ... and no...my computer is still not up to snuff *tear*.  But...that doesn't prevents the shopping!! NAY!

So back to the point.  I was running behind..around...whaaaaaaaaatever my two sisters and we landed at a place I had been to before but completely forgot about: Sweetest Goodbye.  To say the store has changed would be an understatement!  I saw stuff I don't remember seeing before and thudded (again with the thudding!).  So in my dire need to not succumb to the school uniform my dynamic duo of sisterdom has...I opted for something a bit different...the Desire sweater (see below)

Now...be warned: This sweater ... alll primwork.  But it's GOOD primwork. You may have to move the top down just a smidgen in order to cover your left nipple, but other than that...rock the primwork!!

So as I started drooling in the store...I immediately began thinking ... what can I put with this wonderful thing to make an outfit.  Add a mini from Luck, Inc, Bax Boots and all that was missing...the HAIR. Enter Deviant Kitties & their wonderful proprietor Halyanwe Vindaloo.  I went, picked out several demos and ended up in lurve with the Archie: a scripted color-change hair that's up on her new releases wall.  And when I say I had trouble...I had TROUBLE getting the hud to work.  So...I im'd her. Figured, 'what the hey? Worse comes to worst...I get no help'.  Not only was Halyanwe online, she was uber helpful; walking me through the demo hair & hud, before and after purchase (as there were some startup issues with both). And ultimately when the product refused to work for me...she sent me the version she was using to walk me through and VOILA! new hair that worked ^.^!! Note to customers:  EVERY shop owner could take a lesson from Miss Vindaloo. She was courteous, patient and most important...HELPFUL. Thank you Halyanwe...you made my night!!  Between items already in inventory, a quick stop at Bax and the awesome that is Halyanwe's customer service...the outfit just...fell together!  Enjoy kids!

Okay, so after a few days of tying my hands, literally, from shopping... I decided to use this nifty little gift card I won at a Dahlinks Sponsored event to purchase the Dahlinks Celestial Necklace, and of course what's a necklace without a really hot dress to show it off in! Which brings us to the other store of addiction, Phoenix Rising. Oh muh gawd I love these two designers. I think if they ever collaborated I'd be in for a serious dent in my virtual wallet.

So, without further delay and endless ranting about... ooo butter cookies.. *ahem*... about uhh what was I saying... Oh right! Without further delay... wow did you see that?! No really, it just darted across my screen... oh.. never mind... stupid fly... dang I did it again... okay, for real this time, without further delay I give you one of Dahlinks latest, The Celestial Necklace, could it possibly have a more magnifique name?! I mean, look at that thing! There's a ton of gems! And it's scripted so you can change the color of the gems to suit your needs!! It's glitter without the bling in typical Dahlinks séduction!

With the bling I needed fabric of course, I mean, not that my partner would object to me running around in nothin' but the pixels I've purchased - So I decided to go back to my latest obsession, Phoenix Rising and I TP'd out with a gown called Edo's Onjah in Pink wild. It's AWESOME, comes in an A-Line and full skirt option, There's a solid color panel bodice, or the zebra stripe in multiple colors. The dress is FANTASTIC! I can't rave enough about the quality you find at Phoenix Rising. Check it out for yourself!!!

Sometimes people intend to do something... and then something else happens... and their intentions miss the mark...

That is NOT the case with this exquisite gown. I had gone to Phoenix Rising a few times before this trip. I have never encountered such well done clothing at such little cost. I have to give Ashoka Eales some serious credit here. Her textures are fantastic and her prim work is flawless! I challenge you mortals to view her store and NOT walk out of there with at least ONE outfit. No seriously. If you go there, and genuinely do not like something, I will be shocked. She has casuals as well as formals and accessories....

Anyway back to the dress in question.... Intentions is one of Phoenix Rising's older works, but it's absolutely perfect. This dress has personality. I saw it and HAD to have it. In fact I saw it the last time I had been there and SWORE I was GOING back to get it! Thus, I have obtained my intentions.... have you?

So one night I was feeling a tad ... down in the mouth and my awesome sauce of a cousin, Beks simply typed the word "shopping?" into im.  Within minutes I was by her side looking at shop*gasmy goodness.

When you walk into the store, it's a bit unsuspecting in that, there doesn't seem to be a hole lot here. Mostly stuff for guys, but then...oooh..aah...ohhh *insert the typical opening hook of let's get it on* was all i could say as i turned and saw the yummy that is Kalnin's newest selection of shoes for the lovely ladies of Second Life.  Introducing Kalnin's Shoes...and their most recent addition: Kalnin's Fall Boot.

Na Na Na Nayar!

"With every dawn there comes a new day of shopping."

No, Really, I'll bet if you google some famous historian somewhere down the line, one of them said that! The reality is that this morning, I was in need of a little shop therapy. Initially I had been on the hunt for poses (still looking for those). I got MAJORLY distracted though when I stumbled across this new place called "Nayar". Trendy, pop like attire, GREAT texture work, and prim cuffs/mini skirt = WIN! The great thing about Nayars clothing, is it's hip, cute, and doesn't give off that "I'm a hooker" vibe. There isn't anything hanging out of these that shouldn't be, and still allows you to show off your trendy side!

And oh yeah, The items INEXPENSIVE! You won't be paying 500L a pop for a shirt! Each item I purchased was under 200L!!!!

I went absolutely nuts in this store, I purchased two long halter tops which has a prim bow in the back, as well as a mini skirt, and capri pants. They're awesome. I couldn't be more happy with my purchases!

I also purchased the two dollarbees at the front entrance to the store. Fishnet sweaters. They're cute too :D WELL worth the 1L a piece if ya like fishnets!!

No Really... Now...

Feeling Feline *Grins*

So there I was, or shall I say, here I still am. Saturday morning and I am up at the ass crack of dawn -- albeit the sun was not yet up and the clock was approaching about 6:45am. My kitten (well not really a kitten she's about 4) decides that it's time to play. How NOT impressed am I at that moment. However, with every negative there is a positive right!?! Which means.....

Fashionistas I bring you the kitty!

Toxic Kitty has long been one of my favorite Sexy Urban Neko stores in SL. I happened upon it a few months ago just by accident really. The store is relatively large, but easy to navigate. The colours are bright yet not blinding. If you are in search for something specific, you WILL be able to find it.

When you TP into the mainstore you will come upon a staircase. Along the left is where you can find various freebies and dollarbies (one of which is this cute cute outfit).

This outfit consists of a jacket and pant layer along with a prim skirt attachment. I did not wear the skirt because quite honestly it looks like I was growing tubes from my belly. So not sexy tubes=fail.

But worn just the tank and the tights the outfit turns out to be quite hot.

So while I was checking out the dollarbies, freebies, Lucky Chairs and new items I happened upon the CUTEST winter outfit, which has decidedly made me want to rock it for the rest of the day and be Neko all weekend! I love being Neko, but I have to be in that mind-frame to do it. This outfit definitely helped with that!

This has to be by far the cutest winter Neko outfit I have seen since coming back in world last year. I LOVE the fur accents on the right places. The colour is amazing and not so damn bright as is the problem with most Neko gear. The skirt is cute, and not tubey, and passes the dance test! The arm-warmers are amazing as are the boots which house a resizing script. All around I am completely enamored by this outfit. Even the tail is cute but will need to be repositioned on your body. This outfit is FULL of win and a must have for every Neko who is stelling in and getting ready for yet another cold winter. Good thing we can always cuddle up to keep warm *winks*

The dress is affordable and well made. The prim skirt will need some adjusting according to your shape and how it sits on your body, but all an all a GREAT purchase for someone looking to save some linden on a nice dress without spending a whole lot.

Next we have SHOES! Yes my very own personal weakness aside from jewels and hair...LOL... yes who would have thought that a girl could have a serious hair addiction, yeah well I'm here! Hai!
