First of all let me say this is my first ever blog featuring a house, furniture and other non-clothing things :p

This house from whats next is the cutest, and when I saw my bestie wearing the most adorable pj's I just HAD to recruit her for this blog.

Details:
House: {what next} Laurel Cottage - Unfurnished (boxed) $1500L it is a bit on the small size, which is perfect for those who don't have a lot of prim to work with (the house is about 162 prims about there). The cam angles are close, but the house is worth the purchase.

Something About A Man In Chains...

Happy New Year!!! Hope everyone has had a good one thusfar :) Ok enough formalities...ON TO THE POST!

You ever have one of those moments when one of your favorite things is merged into fashion and when you see it, you...thud/fall out/drool a lot/think "I want him and him and him and OH him (or her if you're a man...into women..or a woman...into woman...YOU GET MY POINT lol) in THAT!? Yeah...I saw the ad for this and one of the above scenarios may have taken place (or something unmentional lol...but that's neither here nor there). Then as I thought of who should wear this wonderful ensemble, I ran through the list of sexy men that I thought could pull it off...found him and BAM! Here is the chain portion of EgoIsMe & Gabriel's Collab project: Fashion Victim.

Our model Darian is sporting the leather pants, belt and chains (yes ladies...chains...one of my favorite things *le sigh*) included in this multi-piece ensemble. Also included (but not seen here) are the fur & leather coat, and smoking hot torn tank and shirts, both with collar options.

While this photo doesn't really show the whole outfit or do the ad justice (ladies...when I say hot men in the new year to view...just go to EgoIsMe or Gabriel and look at their ads...YOU'LL SEE), I focused on my favorite parts of the look.

Their motto on the ad is "extravagance meet elegance" and I couldn't agree more. The primwork and detail on the chains and belt are fabulous, the leather pants are snug without looking like one false move and ever string will pop and is something you can either wear fully on runway or pick apart and strut while coasting through the mean streets of SL Lag.

Especially in SL clientele loyalty means your longevity in the virtual world. We are all creatures of habit and if you have an amazing product, then we are more than willing to follow you, support you, give you ideas just so long as we are not taken advantage of. Case and point: Purrfect 10 Shoes.

For the last year I have been mulling over spending the HORRENDOUS price of $510L to join their VIP. Why you ask? Well because I have seen these shoes all over the grid and they are in fact NICE shoes. But to gouge people right from the start? Not so much. If your Holiday season has been anything like mine, the last thing you want to do it go shopping on Boxing day. Retail sucks this time of year, and I'm speaking as a consumer and as a person who works retail IRL. Just sucky all around.

However, what does not bite me in the butt is tossing on some of the most comfy clothes I have in my inventory and spending the day just lounging around in my very own personal Christmas Present.

Yay and a sigh of relief is what I feel now that the season is over. So I get some of my trusty clothes and rock them like only I know how.... Amerie and their lovely black fur textured hoodie, Admiral Spicy with their off the hip jeans, my trusty Baxies, and of course it would not be complete without an uber cute off to the side pony from Magika.

2012 is fast approaching and I for one and making a couple of promises to myself this year. I refuse to call them resolutions as I will just end up getting discouraged, but if they are promises I am sure that I will have no problem making them come true.

This will probably be my last post of 2011. It has been a wonderful year. Full of tears, joys, sorrows, laughter, and support. I like many, have learned a few lessons, some, in the hard way. I have seen relationships tested, friendships made and broken. Trust given and taken away. I think 2011 was definatly a year that "most" of us woke up and opened our eyes to things surrounding us. It has been an amazing journey in self-discovery, one with many experiences I will hold true to my heart, even if some were bad. This year, opened my eyes to many things I have been blinded to in the past. 2012 is a new chapter. One I am very much looking forward to see.

So to you and yours, Peace, Love, Success and happiness in the New Year. We made it! We rocked it, and hell we made it LOOK Good!

Oh My Booooootay!

When I got the notice that Plastik was back with a NEW release I almost jizzed myself. No seriously, I almost did. I love love love love Plastik, and all Aikea’s original and “out of the box” texturing, patterns, ideas etc. So it was no surprise to me that she took the plunge into mesh.

Now I have been a bit hesitant to try mesh, because of a bunch of reasons… Sizing, look, ability to modify to your shape and the list goes on and on. Not to mention, you look really weird to all those SL users who have yet to upgrade to a mesh enabled viewer, but I digress.

This morning, MESH PANTS from Plastik!!!!!! And I must say, it’s screaming booty werk! I have not stared at my ass for this long since I gave my avi a lil junk in the truck a year ago.

Here are some things that I do like about the mesh…. It looks smooth, clean, crisp. It bends nicely with your avatar when you move. The movements are fluid with your avi, and it is just better than to have to wear a pant layer and add prim cuffs all the time.

So try them out, try them from Plastik, I promise you will NOT be disappointed! Oh and please note, that unless they are patterned related, all new releases from Plastik will be in colour packs!

The crew over at Stars Fashions is at it again. Today we see the new PROMO Release of “Curiosity” and this ENTIRE outfit can be yours for just $99L! I know, I sound like one of those infomercial goofballs…. *hey can I slap your nuts o.O*

This cute little dress comes with a great brown leather coat, and some pretty damn snazzy shearling boots. The belt adds the finishing touch to this lovely ensemble, and I have to say, this might be my favourite outfit from them yet.

Feeling Pretty in Vintage Vassnia

Wow...it's been a while! Hi there! I've been so busy with work and school (made Dean's List babehhhhh YEAH!!) that I haven't had as much time to devote to blogging and dressing up as I would like. But for this dress, I drooled. I droooooooooooooooooled. In part because it was gorgeous, but also because not much had caught my eye to inspire me to try something different of late. Presenting Vassnia's Steampunk Sephia:

See...I have never really been one for period pieces, but when I saw this dress...I couldn't resist. It...called to me..."Kilooooooooooooo...weaaaaaaaaaaar me!! Shoooooot me!!!" and BAM ideas sparked!

What I love love LOVE about this dress is the details (deeeeeeeeetails). The intricate attention to the layering of the bustle and skirt of this dress. The train...OMG the train!! I swear I felt like an aristocrat. Then a couple of friends who saw me in it thought I was going to a wedding (HA!). That did make me giggle. Anyway...back to the dress! The added emphasis it seems to have on the back of the corset including the slightly undone bottom of it at the small of the back; it's like this thing KNEW my big butt was gonna wear it and said "GIVE THAT BACKSIIIIIDE SOME ROOM!" For me, that slight detail added a little spice to such a lady-like design and made me go *RAWR*!

Even the collar while, when close up you can see all of the primwork, looks so wonderfully textured and you can tell a lot of time was taken to make this piece. I love the lace in the center of the collar (seen above ). It's incredibly delicate and the look overall is VERY classy. Add that it comes with its own shoes (not shown) and all you really have to worry about is accessories and hair! And that's actually what took me so long to shoot this thing! I had two very specific additions I felt I could wear this without: the perfect hair style to offset the veil and a parasol. Why a parasol? WHY NOT?? I felt like a Lady, an Aristocrat and I'm almost positive that in the time that this dress would have been worn IRL...the lady wouldn't be caught dead without one.

So after a good month of searching updos, I finally saw this beauty in a blog and lo and behold: the hair was on sale! I couldn't find my tp fast enough! And the parasol, I lucked out and stumbled upon it on the marketplace! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! With everything assembled, I found the perfect spot at home and shot away. Thank you Vassnia for such a wonderful dress!! I have never felt prettier!

I HEART $50L Fridays & League!

Some of my favourite designers of all time love to take part of events such as $50L Fridays, Lazy Sundays, Themory, Colab88 and more… League is no exception. Over the years I have become quite the avid fan of Nena Janus. Her creations are unique, well thought out, and executed with the greatest care to texturing, price, and fashion forward thinking.

Today for $50L Friday she has released the cutest dress! Just in time for the winter months, a short suede wrap dress is what is on the docket. Available in black or brown just inside the doors at League’s Mainstore is where you will find it.

I had to do very little in terms of adjustments with the prims. The arm cuffs provided a bit of a pain, but I blame that on my lack of caffeine not on the creator. Call it user error *winks*

While there I noticed a poster for League taking part in the Zombiepopcorn Dark Winter Magic event. There is a GREAT winter coat available at the store, and just a reminder…. PLEASE DE-PRIM to keep lag to a minimum, this way we can all enjoy some lag free shopping *smiles*

Kickin' it Back

Inspiration comes from everywhere. Past. Present. Future....

At some point you will be inspired to do something. Today's example, I'm inspired to do a floral arrangement for my fireplace mantle to decorate for the approaching holidays. But you don't really care about my florals. In fact, I'd be surprised if you actually read this stuff and didn't just flip through the pictures and look at the details at the bottom. At least, that's what a friend said people do...

I've also been inspired by a song today... to do this blog. I'll be honest, I've been less than inspired lately with Secondlife fashion choices. But once in a while, something bites and says "This is pretty cool, I should share this"... And so we have this retro inspired look.

Nothin' like a pair of combat boots to gussy up an outfit! Teamed with some wool/skull stockings and matching arm length gloves. Some finger tapes from and a REALLY short leather dress .. it's a VERY simple outfit, the "conversation" piece as it were, is the Artilleri Trixie hair/headscarf... without it... it'd be just another hoochie look. I dunno, Somethin' a little "don't #!^! with me" about this outfit... maybe it's me... Pair it with a killer Leather jacket from grasp and you've got a complete look!! (not shown)

If any of you hard-core shoppers are like me, you are on every subscribo imaginable. Thankful For Warm Snugglies ♥

I was not planning on doing a blog so soon, but as the night went on, everything just lined into place where I couldn’t NOT do one. Even though I am Canadian (and have already celebrated Thanksgiving), I still enjoy participating when my family in the U.S. has the Holiday in November.

This post is dedicated to the woman who, well…. Let’s be honest, kept me sane when my BF was away most the summer. If it was not for her, I would have lost my mind – through he laughs, and the tears, and the hours of me being emo, this woman never batted an eyelash. She just sat there quietly and held my hand. Always reminding me that she was in charge of me while her brother was away. I am so very thankful to have a friend like her in my life. She is irreplaceable, and although our meeting in SL was what one would say “unconventional” the last couple years have been wonderful getting to know her. She’s ma croissant, and I am her chalupa, and that is all *grins*

Sooooo my croissant was searching the MP today and came across the cutest hat, we both squeeeeeeeeeeeeed like little girls in skype and when I found out that it was from Severed Garden, I said “ROAD TRIP”. So we land, and wait for the sim to rez and she finds the hat ASAP. Seriously, the best $160L spent ever on the cutest winter hat I have ever seen! At the same location are outfits that are a perfect match to the hat hair, and at $290L for EVERYTHING (dress, jacket, scarf, earmuffs, boots, cuffs, everthang!) it’s a steal!

We quickly got dressed and remarked on how cute we looked, and we do look CUTE! This is most definatly an outfit I will be wearing out this season!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland…

Winter is upon us, and what better way to feel warm and cozy than to find some great fashion finds on the Marketplace. If you are like me you troll that site like it’s going out of style looking for the next best thing. Considering most SL Stores are now finding their way to the online purchase spot, the need to deal with sim lag, slowly rezzing stores, and newbs who refuse to leave from the landing points (rant for another day…lol), this is how I have been shopping as of late.

Today I bring you a cute little number from the folks of Beautiful, Dirty, Rich. Now I am not normally a fan of those who mass produce clothing for a multitude of reasons, but when I saw this outfit I HAD to grab it, and for $99L I think I made one of my best purchases to date for “Winter” themed clothing.

Baby It’s Cold Outside is the new winter promo just released from the crew at BDR, which can be purchased in a myriad of colours AND a fatpack. I decided to nab the one in blue, and I was so happily surprised with the texturing, and the pairing of the cutest little Uggs. You can wear the jacket with or without the skirt attachment. If you choose to wear the skirt, they have included a nice alpha layer that will shrink those hips so they don’t poke through the sides, taking away the need to fiddle with sizing the skirt prim to fit your body. The only thing I would have liked is if the skirt had a bit of “give” to it, a bit of flexi, just a hint, and it would be all around perfect. Still at the end of the day, you cannot go wrong with this outfit at all. So get bundled up, find yourself a gorgeous winter sim and frolic the winter blues away looking good!

It's All About the Kalnins (Shoes) ... and Pink :P

I have to admit, when I first got these puppies for review, I wasn't feeling the new Lynette Sandals from Kalnins. They were a bit different in that the bottom of the foot pad in the back is such a blunt square and a sharp contrast to the curvy structure of the shoe. This threw me off so much so that I was gonna chuck the damn things. Then...I saw Maris Kanto's (creator of the shoe) ads for this marvelous sandal and saw color after color of beauty and fell in love.

Meet Kalnin's newest pretty: The Lynette Sandal. Stylable in 10 primary colors with 3 places to select color, the possibilities are endless with this amazing shoe. Aaaand the toe polish colors are even pretty!! Some of my friends say that Kalnin's has sausage toes for the toes. But you know what? I'm okay with that when the shoes look THIS good! Every detail of this shoe = YUM. And the best part: if you have a difficult skin color to match with this shoe, but know your RGB codes, you simply type in /76 RGB r/g/b and hit enter and voila, your skin color will match perfectly so long as you type in the right numbers. On top of that, they have wonderful presets and sliders on the off chance you don't know that info and would rather muck around til you have the right combo. Talk about an easy to use HUD!

Now...love this shoe as much as I do, I actually had some trouble styling an outfit around it in order to work the SHOE. So....as I was flipping through color combinations, I was listening to Aerosmith and it hit me..."that's the color!!" So...off to assemble I went!

I immediately started with hair. Why? Well...it's your topper of sorts...your shoes your bottom and you are the filling in the sandwich of hair and feet :D Grabbing my trust Dura hair, the looks were finally coming together. Next, I paired it with Bitch Tail's "No More" ensemble (1st piccie). It was just the kick of pink without being Pepto look I was going for! While the outfit comes with its own shoes, I was not taking these puppies off...they paired so nicely together! Next, unable to try to find more things to wear this with, I remembered I had a jumpsuit with a pink butterfly from Earth and Sky (look #2) and voila!! Off to shoot I went. Cranking the following vid in the background, I simply couldn't stop lovng my new pressie and had so much fun I think I played it about 5 times before I stopped! LOL

I've since tried other color combos, mimicking the ads and just putting my own spin on these puppies. So what started as an "eh" relationship with the new Kalnins has turned into "What fun can I have styling around my shoe??" Wonderful job, Maris and team!!

So, I'm tendin' to my Meeroos the other day, just mindin' my own business, when I get a notice that Alexandra Nichols has dropped somethin' on me...

Lovesick...A Twofer of sorts!

Usually, I hate anything to do with the term "Lovesick...". It denotes a sickness from something that is supposed to be amazing; well if you take it literally that is. So when I saw the name of this new gown from Vassnia, I was a bit skeptical to actually have a look at it. What I saw when I opened the NC however made me have a whole new appreciation for the term that attracts so much attention. Presenting Vassnia's "Lovesick Darkness"

When I saw the top of the outfit, my eye immediately focused on the bust line. It's simple and delicate, but very alluring. The sheer fabric pulls the eye to it immediately and the half key-hole at the top makes you want to slip things inside just to dive in and dig them out (LMAO). When I saw the top I actually didn't think I could pull the look off since I don't have a cleavage enhanced skin (and no way do I want one LOL).

I love the layering of the lace and how it fits to the leg, but couldn't figure out the best way to pose in this gown as the skirt prim piece isn't really conducive to AO's let alone fidgety ones. The skirt prim tends to lean to the side on the right leg when one moves or dances. So this is definitely not a go bungy jumping on a date and break dance sort of skirt.

That being said, I really do love the look. And the minute I slipped it on I knew this dress was meant for me. It hugs the body, creates a line of vision that shows off all of your assets while keeping you covered and has jut enough tulle on the skirt to make people stare as you saunter by.

Now back to this leg...a funny accident occurred while shooting. As I was flipped and turned by my trusted photographer and friend, I noticed that the outfit actually looks good without the skirt prim! It makes for a bit of a haute couture feel pantsuit and yes, my darlings...it makes you want to STRUT. The only thing you need to look out for is the body suit. If you look closely at the pelvic area, the part that covers your treasured area is part of the skirt prim. So when you take it off and rock it as a pantsuit, please put on a thong or all of your cash and prizes (Dane Cook reference like woaaaaaaaah!) will be revealed! O.O

It’s been a while since I have featured something from the amazing creative mind of Aikea Reiko of Plastik, so when I came across this lil gem, I had to find a way to work it into my blog re-routine.

For both Men and Women, Plastik has come out with a gorgeous new skin called “Nomad”. The details of this skin are what you would expect from her work, and it goes above and beyond that. The markings on the skin are very unique, beautiful and so well placed, for both sexes. The skin features a wonderful tribal like design on the back and front, details on the face and some along the front hip area too. Its just such a wonderful skin that these pictures do not do them any justice at all. Last I checked you could go and get each for $499L there about at the landing point of the main store. Who doesn't want to show off just how sexy they can be sometimes? Getting into that perfect lil dress, strutting around, going out, having a lil dance. No I am not talking about hoochie wear. I am talking about dressing sexy and still having class at the same time! Seems like some days that is harder than others in SL, but I digress.

Over the last few weeks I was introduced to a lovely lady named Dev Damone. I also came to find out that she makes and sells her creations in world at her store “Devilish Designs” so yesterday I decided to take a peek.

The store is lovely, it took me a moment to rez, but I am convinced that it is completely an SL issue, I mean what is with their asset servers lately?! I walked in to a nicely lit store, very well laid out, and spacious. Nothing that is over the top of gaudy that makes you wanta turn and run for the hills. Each outfit is clearly displayed, and the vendor photos are large enough that you can actually see what it will look like. As an aside, one of my biooger pet peeves as a blogger is going to a store and you cannot really decipher what the outfit will look like once before you purchase cause its been photoshopped to smithereens and the picture is too small. Well you won’t find that here! The outfit I purchased was just how it looked on the vendor sign! YAY!

I was immediately lured by this hot little dress called “Rock Me”, let me tell ya, these days I base my purchases on if they scream my name, and this one surely did! I picked it up in red and was floored when I saw the purchase was only $150L. Yes the zipper TOTALLY called me! *grins*

LADIES, You can look sexy and not spend an assload of linden if you just step out of your box and shop and some great stores! You HAVE to add Devilish Designs to that list! Devil will make sure that you are looking sexy for half the cost than what you would spend on one of those cookie cutter sims. Yes I call it cookie cutter because everyone ends up looking the same when they shop at the same places all the time.

Grayson Has Arrived!

I have been seeing way too much beef-cake on the grids of SL. For this reason I was so excited when Stare came out with a new shape called Grayson. if you look closely, he bares a similarity to I dunno, the lead singer dude from My Chemical Romance. *winks*

This shape is so wonderfully crafted by Talah in her Stare Studio to show that men don’t have to be huge and beefy to look sexy. I love how the abs are softly seen, the shoulders rounded perfectly, and that hip line *grins* Oh and lets not forget those lips…..

Plastik: The Arkenea Ears

You all know what a HUGE fan of The Plastik I am, so it was to no surprise the amount of squees, giggles, and dancing that was had when they released the Arkenea Ears. These are the most playful guaged ears I have seen in world, and obviously made me more of a fan.

These ears are wonderfully crafted and come in 5 shape options: Cute, Dragoon, Evil, Long, and Normal. The HUD is also very easy to use. You can get the drop in colours for the gauges and after a quick install, the world is your oyster!

Gauges are hollow and filled, and there are texture/colour packs for both. The colouring mechanism on the HUD is also pretty easy to use. Aside from the hugeness of the HUD itself, its pretty much “point, click, done” So big props out to Aikea and the Plastik team for releasing yet another quality item.

Also on my travels today I decided that I would stop by Atomic. Just my luck they are having a SALE! Now I didn’t see how long it is going for, but I picked up some uber cute items for super cheap. This is defiantly where you want to shop if you want quality items for a great price, and while the sale is on, its a double bonus!

52 Weeks of Color: Week 19 - Umber aka my Strut Outfit

This was a hard color. Umber is an earthy brown and the shades can vary quite a bit. But what made the challenge fun is it was to prove a point. A friend once told me I'd look nice in a burlap sack. Since I couldn't find a wearable sack, I searched for Burlap. When I did, I put the color next to the Umber thinger and voila..a look was found! Yay me!! I guess burlap does work for me? Maybe? *crooked smile*

To me this outfit defines awesome sauce, exudes confidence and when I put it on...all I want to do is strut. Puts me in the mindset of Nina Simone's "Feelin' Good", my new theme song. :D Anyway, the travel satchel on my back (sold separately) is well crafted and full of detail and just makes me enjoy the look that much more. It's like being an explorer and a fashion plate all at once! ^.^ To round out the look, I added a group giftie from LeLutka, one of my more favorite lip makeups and these little darlings here :) Behold Salience from Maitreya Gold!

What I like about these shoes is that they are very much unique. The level of detail on the snake (or is that alligator) skin strap is amazing. I love the feathers and how each piece of the shoe is crafted. To me these are a work of art and I'm so glad they are in my collection. Anywho...time to dash off! Classic Black & Classy Names

When I saw her face, I thought, "timeless and statuesque". When I saw the dress, I was immediately reminded of Audrey Hepburn and her movies "Sabrina" and "Breakfast and Tiffany's". So when I had the opportunity to blog them, I immediately knew together Artemis, Unique Megastore's newest skin & "Carrie" by Alloro would be the perfect fit.

What I like about Artemis outside of the full lip she conveys on every makeup are her freckles. I know that seems silly, but on such an elegant oval face they really draw attention to themselves. The hairline isn't too jagged nor is it too straight so it has a very natural feel to it. I would have used the eyes that come with the skin, but I didn't feel the gray really did this skin justice. Instead I used a wonderful set of eyes I picked up from Fashism, one of SL's newest and hottest eye designers. The brown pulled some of the brown highlights of the hairbase out (for some reason the hairbase looked more black to me) and when I added the chignon (not seen here) from YS & YS, it made the look that much more pulled together.

What I liked about the Carrie is while it's a simple black shirt/skirt combo, it has two options for how to top it. I wasn't feeling just the black top and bottom combo by itself, reason being the top lacks texturing in my opinion. It's a wonderfully constructed piece, but there was nothing I could draw my eye to. I really like the texture on the skirt; made it look that much more sleek to me. Enter the lovely red scarf and the houndstooth pashmina shawl options. Both are wonderful offerings and while they are both scuplties, they're adjustable. As old school as this will sound, I'm actually glad Laurel didn't put a resizer in the scarf and shawl. Don't get me wrong, I love me a good resizer, but I have found that they don't always adjust to fit the contours of your body, so you either end up with this outrageously huge sculpty or an addition you simply can't wear. The fact that one can adjust in one direction and it make it perfect was just the amount of awesome that I needed when I put on my shawl. Now to figure out what else I can wear it with :) *wiggles in her chair with ideas*

P.S. Now, if any of the Lindens are reading this..Imma need y'all to work out this skirt layer issue. I am one whose shape has a more erm... prominent posterior. And when I put on a skirt layer (like the one shown above), the 3 sizes too big theory that was used to make the skirt mesh goes HAYWIRE!! Looks like a bar room brawl is taking place in an area where my butt should be! O.O (ok...maybe that's a bit of a hyperbole...but it makes mah butt look HUGE!) Do you have any idea how hard it is to shrink a booty and make it look curvy and decent in less than five minutes when you don't typically mess with shapes and have to learn sliders all over again?? I.didn't.THINK.so! :P

Bruno's Girl/Week 11: Indigo...

I wonder if this is how he got his start: sitting in front of his piano, thinking of his muse..his one who got away before he penned "grenade," "just the way you are," or "talking to the moon...." Yes, I am talking of Bruno.

I have enjoyed this man's voice when he appeared on "Nothin' on You'" and even more on Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," but he claimed me when he released "Just the Way You Are". I think I played it nonstop for a week straight (which might explain my iPods deteriorating charging ability). When the album dropped I was a cheery as a girl getting asked on a date by her dream boy *le sigh* I have yet to stop listening to him.

Anyway, on a night when I was toiling away on a special project (and squeeing because I had just got my new updated ears from Mynerva (the scripted elf ears now come in white for easier texturing for us drow/dark elves)), this awesome hat was bestowed upon me along with an outfit from one of my favorite makeup places A.E. and I tossed them on and immediately felt I was channeling my fantasy boo, Bruno. I love that this hat from Couture Chapeau is simple. It's not overdone with a million miniprims of bling and jewels that will take forever to resize or worse, telelport. And the fact that it's denim made it nice and workable into anything (in my opinion).

I'm used to AE making makeup. So when I saw that they made clothes and the outfit was cute...I HAD to put it on. To my surprise I rezzed and thought I was standing in front of the man himself. Since I wasn't really feeling the leggings that come with the shirt, I slipped into a pair of capris from Urbanista and started listening to the cd...falling all over again for Mr. Mars. To round out the look, I put on mah favoritist nails from Studio Nails (I love Anastasia Magic for making nails that fit my hands YAY! Size 27...what what??) and that is all. :)

Well it's late and I'm fading fast. I think I shall pop in my super secret (well not so secret) celeb crush lova Mista Mars and drift off to his digits tickling the ivories and telling me how I'm amazing just the way I am. And since I'm nice...I'll even share the tune with you ;)

I'm out of order and way behind. But when my wife snapped this picture I was supposed to use it for this. I thought the outfit was adorable...even if only a hunt item. I do believe she still has this cute little number for sale in her store though! ^.^ If she doesn't, still look around. All of Sassy!'s items are cute, affordable and some are damn sexy. She goes from casual to formal and hits just about everything in between (including some sci-fi). To round out the look, I chose Kalnins shoes (though one of my friends feels they have "sausage toes" lol) and Mandala for the jewels because, well? MANDALA ROCKS!! Topping things off, I had to rock Dura. They are the awesome and one of my two favorite hair places to shop. For some reason, I rock their male hair better than their female hair...go figure! LMAO

I got tired of all the fussy clothes.

I wanted to find something that *I* the woman behind the keys MIGHT Actually chill out in. Now, while I wouldn't probably wear the mid-drift baring top IRL, I can totally rock it in SL... Those pants, I'd DEFINITELY wear. They just look so comfortable and Chic... Like Kim Kardashian in her velor warm up suits.

Anyway, Point being I really liked it... Then of course I was futzing around and found the makeup with the buck teeth. LUFFED it... it's quirky and fun...

The hair I've had from a hunt a while back, I think you can purchase it in the store still but, I really like the up do, it's not over stated like some can be. I'm sorry to say though, You can't buy the nose bridge ring. It is Mariposa who, sadly, closed shop.

You CAN however get the skin and shape! Both of which helped this whole look along. I was sort of going for glamour meets lazy dayz... What do you think?

"Wicked" Ways...

I'm dealing with a lot. So I've been in full out turtle mode. Speak very little, go out even less, I haven't even done my regular job (yus...blogging is the side gig...heh). One of my friends saw a post about me not being able to sleep and talked to me for a lil bit. Knowing I was restless, they handed me a large chunk of linden and said, "go shopping. Make something awesome, post about it on your blog and I'll read it." So...step 1? I updated my drow look (which for now is my every day look til...I'm back to "me"). I really loved my old drow look (see previous rockabilly post), but I needed darker. So...after buying my new skin...behold a new me:

Then as I soaked up the sun in my shiny new skin, another friend...more specifically my favorite female DJ, Miss Sofia Diage im'd and asked me "do you like pink?" "Yes. Except Pepto...that's just ewwww" was my response (or something like that). Over the course of our conversation, she dropped some buckets of awesome on me and said, "alright girly...get to it!" I looked in my bags and yes...I squeed. New yummies from the land of Wicked Gear!

Bringing you high fashion grunge/street wear with a hint of polish is the best way I can describe the amazing that is this store. That...and they're affordable!

Anywho, let's talk about these hot little numbers above. On the left is the Rockabilly Mini Tank and Panty Set. Yes it is a little faded back there on the poster. But the pale pink coupled with the skulls that dominate this outfit still stand out as both pattern and outfit are epic win and totally yummy. Up front (and on the right) is the Rockabilly Henley and skirt set). Isnt' it gorgeous??? I slipped into it and immediately felt at home. THIS was My outfit. *grumbles having to share it with the world* What I love about it is that even though it's a mini..it's cute without being skanky and it's pink but not overwhelming, which is something that tends to happen when I see pink outfits on the grid. The secret is to put in just enough...never too much. Sufficed to say, the pink rockabilly henley and skirt are my favorite thing out of this set of three. It's soft, pink and totally made for me and my skin. I think I only changed out of it once since I got it LOL

Anyway, after squeeing some more over my awesome pink & white mini tank and kini, Sofia said "try the dots...you'll LOVE the dots" and so I did...and I DID (see above)! LOL Naturally, I needed to go outside. I wanted to show off my pretty new stuff, so...I decided to get up out of my lily pad and go for a stroll on another beach...LOL. So I packed up myself, grabbed my awesome new Shield sunglasses from newcomer shop Sin & Virtue and head out. Next stop: Day Break Brasil on the Gold Mine Sim.

I was hoping to find a decent beach party. What I found was peace and quiet, solitude...things one doesn't usually find here (SL) and it was refreshing. The moan and creak of the boards under my feet, the soft sounds of the water crashing against the shore line. I could totally live there.When I arrived at this beach, it was light and empty. And I think that was a sign that I needed more time before coming out of my shell. So...

I think I dozed off because when I woke up...NOT SO LIGHT! But still very beautiful. The moon hit the water just so and in the background were the low whistle of bird calls, dolphinspeak, bubbles and I could have laid there forever. I may be turtling still, but with a new look, my nifty shades from Sin & Virtue and my awesome clothes from Wicked Gear...I can turtle...in style ;-)

Water & A Rockabilly Drow...

I've always loved the water. How it feels when it slips between my fingers, washes over my skin; how it sounds when it plays against shingles, pavement, tin roofs and rocks. It's nature's most amazing musician having so many settings in its voice.

So...Ive been spending a lot of time by it...listening. Today...I went to a place known for its waterways and its entire build being set on the water...Venice.

It's beautiful...even if only in here. Maybe someday I'll get there iRL. So I can stand on one of their bridges, look over it and watch the sunset.

Then...I think I want to take a ride in a gondola, eat gelatto and finally rest in a room by the waves and sleep for a while with nothing but the lull of the water kissing rocks and the sides of my building as my lullaby. Yeah...

But for now...my virtual wanderings will have to do :) *nestles into her gondola and coasts through Venice*

Oh My GOD!!! Grab your purses, drop those prims and leave your Stiletto Moody's at home!!! It's coming!!! Friday it will be here!! Yes, I'm uber excited. Though technically I shouldn't be. I have enough poses to open a studio, fashion agency, modeling a....this really isn't that important.

But what IS important is that on FRIDAY, April 1 (yes...THIS Friday), two levels of around about 100 pose, dance AND AO stores will convene on this one location for fifteen days!! And they will be selling EVERYTHING under the sun here! New stuff, old stuff, thing we didn't even know they had kind of stuff. AND...it's a multi-level structure this time folks.

What am I talking about?? POSE FAIR 2011!! Last year it was very well organized. Katey Coppola of Glitterati and her trust cohorts did a bang up job of organizing and managing the fair last year and they're at it again this year! The event will take place in a multi-structure facility and I gotta say this well ahead of time as a returning visitor: DROP EVERY PRIM YOU OWN, GO BALD AND IN NOTHING BUT CLOTHING LAYERS!! lmao

Yes, this is what I will be wearing (less actually). It's last year's awesome pose fair skin! What you do is make yourself into a human (or furry or short) walking talking poseball. It's low lag, all the rage this (and last) year and you'll have a better chance of sifting through all of the scripted places virtually unscathed.

This truly can't be expressed enough, because people keep wondering why they're crashing. We all know everyone wants to look their best when they're out in public, but really?? DROP THE GEAR. Walk like a noob for a day (or 15) so you can truly benefit! Being cute will get you lagged, timed out and most likely crashed more than those professional mannequins in the car commercials.

Yes I am a huge fan of Aikea Reiko and her creative spark at Plastik. I cannot rave enough about her infinite creative visions and how she continues to surprise even me – I am rather picky when it comes to my shopping and even more so when it comes to blogging something I like.

Bring in Lazy Sunday, and a new release from Plastik! It is a full body tribal tattoo, but wait! There is more. This tattoo comes in 3 shades, tintable versions and non-tintable, and it even comes in an actual tattoo layer! The detail of this item is amazing, but what sets it off is the wicked green/blue eyes that accompany this week’s release. HI5 Plastik, yet again you astound me and make me drool for more yummy goodness!

It was so hot, I put on one of my least photographed Elven skins, from Plastik, and the Low of the week release from Blacklace! Ladies it does not get much better than this. Check out both amazing stores from Content creators that have been in word for years and have been setting the bar on quality and affordability!

The Creep

There comes a point where you look at all the pretty perfect skins, shapes, and fashions furrow your brow and say "eff this' to find something... different...

I was in one such mood.And so, I shopped. because that's what you do when you're feeling defiant. You shop.

I found the most badass shirt. I absolutely love it. It's by [ANCAYI] and I can't help but admire the texture work on it. I didn't see any seems in the shirt...

The pants however are another story. They are by A&C Design and you can see every seem on these puppies. From the front they're not so bad, and the jeans have A LOT of potential. However, the tip on the left hip is VERY obvious where the seems are meeting up. The prims are alright, but seem to be just a solid black instead of textured, not overly noticeable unless you're really looking. I wasn't too fond with how low they went in the back either. Pretty much an entire half moon is hanging out of your pants, and while, that might work in Detroit with a pair of boxers to cover your moon, it's not entirely how I enjoy my fashions. I do however like the overall look of the jeans. I think they could be better done and wouldn't recommend you purchase them.

Of course, what makes the whole look come together into a punk/goth fright fest is the skin. I couldn't have made it look nearly as creepy without the skin and eyes from FRICK. I LOVE Frick because they do things so differently, although lately I've seen a lot more conformity but, I suspect FRICK will return to their niche soon, I hope.

And with that, I'll leave you with a GREAT Bargain. These boots from Silent Fashions are a GREAT deal. UNDER 100 linden on the marketplace and they look fantastic! Great detail work!! I'm always worried about buying shoes that are inexpensive on the grid because you end up with something not pictured but these DID NOT disappoint.

It seems like everyone is getting married and poppin' out prim babies in SL these days. I've seen some pretty ugly maternity clothes on the grid though, and then of course there's the people who don't wear the maternity clothes because they have standards in fashion but, due to their LARGE pregnancy belly, the clothes are distorted and look as bad as it would if a RL pregnant woman squeezed into her pre-pregnancy clothes. Yep, Bad.

That being said I decided if I could find a cute pregnancy look, I think I nailed it, but you can be the judge...

I started with the shape . ~!STARE!~ had recently released the Isabelle Pregnancy pack and I really loved the face on her. Grabbed my staple LAQ *Christmas Gift* Vilda, tossed on my ~DAMNED~ Tribal Make up w/ pouty lips. And I had my base!!!

Then I went shopping. In a bikini *not shown* to find the outfit. I went to a few maternity stores, looked at the horrible selections, and for a moment, thought about giving up the search. It seemed hopeless, and I'm not really into the whole pregnancy thing... BUT! In the name of fashion, I tredged on... and I stumbled across the Honey*Soul store, where I saw the CUTEST little dress, and I thought, by golly (okay, I didn't ACTUALLY think by golly but I really wanted to use the word okay?!) that is PERFECT!! So here we have, the maternity outfit!!! HA! This only benefits you. Trust me.

Here at Shop*Gasm my sisters and I pride ourselves on finding the best quality fashion on the grid. Or at least, something damned close to it! Anyway, point being, we haven't seen much for men that really said "Ya know, I think a straight man would wear this" ... Because lets face it fella's, most of you either wear "leather" items that look pasted on, or the usual Jeans and a Tshirt. Nothing wrong with those by the way... but I like a little bit of a change now and again, as I'm sure you would too... So, I give you, +grasp+ -

I know, a lot of women know that +grasp+ has killer fashions, but quite a lot of men DON'T know they offer selections, and really well done selections, for them as well!! It's a happy shopping experience for both sexes since most items ARE available in both genders.

Why I LOVE +grasp+:

Simply put, They're consistent. I can always count on high quality texture and prim work. There's never a question of shoddy workmanship because they simply don't put out anything that isn't 100 percent complete.

It's Coming!! Another Fundraiser II

Words will never express the level of emotion that each of us is having to endure during this global time of need. Through Second Life (and even prior to), we cross paths with people from all walks of life, never knowing how each connection may later affect us. That being said, I wholly admire the strength of our people as we all lend hands and unite to help out our friends, loves and family over in not only Japan itself but everyone touched by this crisis. The organizers of Another Fundraiser, a benefit that raised money for charity three years ago using the skin templates of the now infamous Eloh Eliot are joining forces with new designers and content creators and offering not only Eloh's templates, but Sezmra Svarog and Mina Jun's templates (who specifically wishes to use her skins to help Japan) in another wonderful fundraiser that will not only help showcase the talents of established content creators, but also bring to light new contributors as well.

100% of the proceeds go to the Red Cross to help the victims of the overwhelming disasters that have struck Japan.

Pacific Crisis Fundraiser Event

Sadly, with the death toll swiftly reaching 10,000 (this fluctuates hourly as the rubble and debris are being cleared away, they are still finding survivors), I can't help but tune in to the news a few time a day for an update. To see the aid that is being offered reminds us all of all the good the world can do regardless of political or religious views. We are ALL PEOPLE, and when we are suffering we come together to lend a helping hand.

Yesterday I spend some time wandering the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser sim. I suggest you do the same. There are so many vendors that have donated their time, and product for such an amazing cause. The lag was hard to deal with yes, but after standing in one spot for about 10 mins to allow everything to rez properly, I walked around with little to know issues. The PCF people were a great help in directing me to what I was looking for, and were also quick to ban a few racist idiots who thought that coming in and being douchy was funny. Well no, I don't care who you are or what you think, a disaster of this magnitude anywhere in the world is NO laughing matter!

I only wish I was in a position to where I could help more. In RL we have begun to collect non-perishable food items, blankets, diapers etc to send to the local red cross. The final tally of what we raised will come in next week via my work head office. So that leaves me to donate some of my Lindens to a worthy cause.

Two of my favourite designers have lent some of their talents to raising money for the Pacific Coast. Plastik and Delirium.

Plastik has come out with a limited edition Tokyo Elven skin, complete with ears and glowy eyes. Shades included are Chorus, Lullaby, Poem, Song, and Hymn. Delirium has also come out with a Limited Edition outfit called Isimaki (I do believe they also have a version for men *not pictured* Both items are from amazing content creators that have donated their creativity, time, and imagination to create quality items for us, the SL shopper, so that we too can help in our own way :)

Spending Time With The Bestie…

We have been trying to get together for a while, but our scheduled just never seemed to jive. See I am a sleepy butt (yes I admit it), and well he is a night owl. So as it happens, I am always going to bed when he is just getting up. But we made plans a few days ago to spend some time and I am glad we did. Spy is my bestest friend, and some of you fan girlies might recognize him as one of the Wicked Cowboy players. Either way, he’s been there for me more times than I can count, so when I heard that WG had FINALLY released his name jersey, I had him TP me so I could get it. It’s just one of many named jersey’s after the players of the Wicked Cowboys.

Lessons in retail therapy

A lesson I just learned is, never EVER trust the images you see on an SL advertisement for an item when a DEMO is available. I feel stupid. It's a noob lesson that I really should know better than to do... However, on today's determination to do a GOOD blog, with NEW stores I had never been to before, I decided to try this simple ponytail from a store I had never been to before. MINA Hair Fashion. The picture looked nice, and I figured, it's a simple pony tail, what could go wrong?! So I bought the Black/white pack and put it on... it was only 275 linden right?! BIG. MISTAKE. ~ ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS try on the Demo's. Had I tried on the demo for the Amber hair, I'd have known that the prim work was... well, a nice attempt. But for a girl used to the beautiful blending and seamingly seamless work of TRUTH, this is ameteur hour. I'm not blaming the designer in this case, I blame myself for being impulsive.

Anyway, the point of this blog isn't to hate on MINA, because I think her styles have potential, the point is that we, as bloggers have a habbit of playing up designs that, to be blunt, aren't really that good. And that brings us to the photoshoppers.... they enahnce, blend, blur, and generally speaking make some otherwise, UGLY things, look like a million bucks. Thank you filters. However, it defeats the purpose of fashion blogs entirely. We as bloggers, are supposed to be bringing YOU, the reader, what we think is a top notch, excellent design. And we SHOULD be truthful in it. If there's prim work on it that the blogger has to adjust, THEY SHOULD SAY SO. Don't promote an item and BS the reader. It's not right, then they go out and impulse shop and BAM, Bad hair day. So, in short. I'm going to show you the Amber, but I do not recomend you purchase it. There ARE however some other lovely pieces at MINA Hair Fashion.

I did like the Lulu hair, it was funky, cute, a little kick to the 70's and VERY well done. So there ARE really nice pieces at MINA Hair. So, here's the artwork.... there is NO post editing done. I know I'm the LAST one of my sisters to get all gaga over some pink, but lemmie tell ya, I grabbed this GAWK shirt, and my Bax boots and rocked that shit! I absolutely LOVE it, and Gawk, by Mell McMahon as you may recall had once been the creator for Inimitably before she closed it. I LOVED her designs. Anyway, she does QUALITY textures and I absolutely LOVE her stuff. but back on topic...

I'm gonna keep this simple. I was DJing, as a penguin, and I changed back to human at the end of the event...of course I was naked... my good friend Alex said "COVER UP WOMAN!" and then passed me these FANTASTIC Wicked Gear chain belt low rise pants. Lemmie tell you about these pants, they're not those super low rise pants where your yaya is hanging out. They're PERFECT. Low enough to be sexy, but high enough to be modest. REAL. And I love when designers keep it real.

OH! I nearly forgot, The Onyx Ribbon Choker from Dahlinks. Simple and stunning!!!!

Celebrate Mardi Gras With Blacklace!

I have been watching all the festivities about SL this past week that coincide with Mardi Gras. The bright colours, the music, the people. It’s a totally different way of life, for one week, tossing all cares to the wind to celebrate. If you are from New Orleans you have reason to do so. Sadly I was not able to visit before the floods, but I am amazed at how a community can pull together to overcome all odds, and the people of New Orleans have proven just that. So… as I was wandering around, I got a nifty little notecard in my inventory from the lovely folks over at Blacklace, it was promoting their current LOW of the week for $99L, which I went to get because it is really pretty. While there, I noticed a BIG Vendor with this bright amazing photo on it.

If you have read Shop*gasm in the past you know that I am a fan of the costumes that the Blacklace team puts out, and this costume is no exception. I bring you the 2011 Blacklace Mardi Gras Costume.

The costume itself is only $398L and includes all prim work (with resizers) and layers. I love the vibrant nature of the purple and how it works with the green and gold. The details of this costume is out of this world, and I am quite impressed! This has to be one of my favourite costumes to date from Blacklace. Great work guys!

Typically, I don't do a nonchatty post. But I'm crunched for time and must do math homework!! So here we go. Yes for those staying tuned...I've got *counts on fingers and toes* .... aww hell... A LOT to catch up on in the challenge, but I went for simple with this post. Affordable and cute, SN@TCH has really proven to be quite the prolific content creator and source for variety (at least in my opinion and since this is in part, my blog, that's what matters right? LOL). But seriously, you can pair Ivey's tops up with shorts (the ones here came with the top O.O), skirts, slacks and switch this cute top from elegant to downright grimy depending on how you accessorize. Add Mandala's ever evolving style and you've got a winning combo for clothing and jewelry, two key elements for hot fashion. The hair is an old group gift from Magika, but I love that she made the hat modifiable, so I can pretty much match it to just about ... anything! LOL

Simply Sexy In Blacklace…

It has been a long while since I have found something I have liked so much at Blacklace that I had to stop what I was doing to run an get it. However all that changed this morning. I was dutifully cleaning out my notecards to keep my inventory count below 50K when I came across the LOW of the week posting. I clicked the picture and squeed! Not only is this new low certainly LOW in linden – ONLY 98L LADIES – but it’s black and red, my two most favourite colours EVER!

I love the details in this item. From the frills of lace at the tops of the satin gloves to the bottom of the corset. The lacing detail on the back is amazing as always, and the overall look is just so simple, and sexy, I couldn’t walk away without making it mine.

Sometimes going through your folders can work to your advantage. I am out of sequence, but when I saw this I simply couldn't resist. I've had a bevy of items from one of my favorite stores that I've wanted to use and never could figure out how to put them together. Then BAM: I need a shot for the red week of the 52 week color challenge (week 15).

I could gush for hours on how amazing Ivey's fantasy creations can be and are. I could go on and on about the affordability of her store and the fact that you get variety with every purchase since the low price you pay covers only fat packs. But I'll simply say this: I love Sn@tch. It's that simple.I LOVE SN@TCH and I'm not ashamed! (falls over in a giggle fit at the tongue in ... oh my that's not even gonna come out right! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) Everything in this photo, save my skin, shape and hair is from this marvelous store. They may not always have light colors, pastels or flowery type apparel, but Ivey Deschanel kicks butt in how she specializes in goth/fantasy apparel and accessories.

The hair is from a fairly new hair designer (or at the very least new to me; only discovered them a couple months ago and have been stocking up and not sharing :P). Dura has a large variety of hair. My only problem with them is that their female hair doesn't quite fit me. But the male hair there...I ROCK IT LIKE A HURRICANE!! I love the variety of what they're doing, and the price for a fat pack can't be beat. Why the fat pack you say? Because with Dura, that's where your value will be. Each hair is sold in an individual color for L$120. But if you buy a fatpack, which usually contains about 6 colors, you only pay $L300-L$360. You do the math kids...though so :P

In tping around, I stumbled across this gorgeous little location to boot and tried out my Vextra pose hud (pre-loaded because I was being lazy and haven't filled my custom one yet).in the process! Epic wins this morning! Have a great day shopgasmers! MWAH!

A Beautiful Death...

I was reading this wikipedia article on the colors of China and their significance and found it kind of funny/fitting considering that the outfits I chose for my incredibly late week 2 submission of the 52 weeks of color challenge were three colors from the Chinese culture: blue, silver (white) and gold.

One of my favorite outfits, the Killer Kunoichi by Femme Fetale takes the classic cheongsam and brightens it using a brilliant azure blue color with silver accents. I found it fitting and sort of ironic that for blue to mean funeral/death, the color of this incredibly sleek and sexy outfit is known as a killer. While I do have a minor problem with how the prim skirt bends on my av, the issue is so small that only I would truly notice it. My favorite part of the outfit? The said of course ;)

So as I was putting this look together, it dawned on me I had another Asian themed outfit in blue. After rummaging through my inventory, putting it on and finally adjusting the prim, I happily danced around my new studio eager to shoot it. The Dragon Arts ensemble from B@re Rose comes in several colors one of which is this amazing blue with gold accents throughout the outfit. Gold, per the article, means good luck and balance and is one of China's more beautiful colors.

The detail on this costume is amazing. The very intricate pattern of the gold draped over the blue(as seen up close on the wing in the photo above) made for a fascinating look that while it probably can't be worn every day, makes for an awesome outfit to wear for contests, a themed party, role playing or maybe even wearing around the house. To top off my look, I found these pretty spiffy katanas on the marketplace and as I slipped them into my little hands, it all simply came together and screamed 'it's time to snap, Kilo." So...I did :-)

I've spent a lot of time, and many an event out of theme, trying to find a decent "cowgirl" look. I mean, Not all cow-folk are the typical fringe wearin' leather heads.... There's a lot of horsey people who'll just rock some jeans, boots, and a sweet shirt... so I got to thinkin'... I got that already!!!

Top it off with my signature hat... and I've got myself a cowgirl by golly!!!!

The Shirt, is fantastic, if your AO isn't motion heavy... The bottom is sculpty prims so, you can't be motion intensive obviously otherwise, yer gonna have deformities.... <3>

I like the pants, except the prims. The prims don't really work for me, So I just got some high top boots for personal use, but in the picture I'm wearing the jeans with the prims they come with so you can see... I think it took my shoes off :/

Everyone wants to be a Superstar, okay, so maybe not THAT type of superstar... But what the hell, Rock stars make grunge look like something off a paris runway. Amy Lee's wardrobe is a girls dream! Well, maybe not ALL girls, but I personally would LOVE to rock some of those garms...

I told myself that I was not going to do another blog today, but being awake so early and having way too much coffee I couldn’t help myself. I was perusing blogs that I read on the regular, and I got an idea stuck in my head. I love using my imagination to put things together, so I thought what the hell, I haven’t worn horns or hooves for a while, let’s do a post on those!

So I bring you my, whatever it is you call this kind of avatar. The one challenging thing I find about these is how to keep them fashionable at the same time. I mean you already look freaky enough with horns and funny feet, but your clothing has to be just right or it throws the entire look off.

The other day I decided to head over to the Delirium SIM to see what newness was abound and OMG, I came across this epically cute outfit! It’s called Danica and it is by far one of the nicest outfits I have purchased from Delirium in some time. For $250L’s you get yourself this awesome well textured hoodie, 2 versions of jeans (one photographed and one extreme low rise, so low ma butt was hanging out), prim cuffs for the pants and a prim belt. What is great about Delirium is that you can purchase their items in 2 versions: 1 which is trans no copy, and 1 which is copy no trans. Trust me every woman needs some low riders and a hoodie in her inventory! Just sayin’

Christel Morane and team have outdone themselves yet again with a classic urban look that is cute and stylish at the same time. Pairing it up with some sneakers, and an updo made a perfect look for what I was going for.

I also have to mention the exceptional Customer Service provided by the Delirium team. When I purchased my outfit I went to their rez area to unpack, only to have my items completely disappear from my inventory. ARGH SL *shakes fists* A quick NC to one of the mall managers and within 20 mins I was being passed a redelivery of the item I bought. Talk about quick turn around! Christel IM’d me direct to make sure I got it and all was good.

Great Job Delirium, you continue to be at the forefront of Urban wear on the grid, add that to your amazing Management team, your helpful models and a beautiful SIM, you are the bees knees!

Plastik Part #2–Ataciara Skins

Welcome to the world of the most fabulous Elven skins I think I have ever seen on the grid. Aikea Rieko of Plastik has really REALLY outdone herself on this line of amazingly textured, detailed, coloured and unique skins to date.

Initially this was to be a post about a Demon, to go along with the Angel post previous, but when I got my folder from the failed delivery I was in a state of shock and awe. If you are an elf you NEED these skins, if you aren’t an elf and are thinking of becoming one, you NEED these skins. Heck, there are some shades that are perfect for drow, demon, even neko. The possibilities are limitless with these skins, and the proof is in the picture:

Here I went with the Apple skin, added some red hair and booty shorts from Avid, and voila. Pretty bad ass!

This here is quite possibly my favourite of all the skins. I love the purple, with the blue around the eyes, and the eyes included with the pack, just give this one so much mystery. Again I paired it with an outfit from Avid.

This close up will give you a taste of the amount of detail put into these skins. There are 20+ colours to choose from, all complete with matching ears and eyes. Seriously YOU WILL LOVE THESE SKINS!

Below I will show you a few more photos just to give you an idea on the versatility of these skins.

Seriously people these photos do not do these skins any justice, you just need to head over to Plastik yourself and be the judge. For photos, they are amazing in windlight under a multitude of settings. There are just so many options to this skin line I haven’t even begun to explore them all myself.

On a side note: Customer service at Plastik is TOP NOTCH! I know, as a frequent shopper and blogger it is highly frustrating when your deliveries fail or when SL eats your inventory. A quick notecard to the content creator with your transaction ID is the fastest way for them to try and help. In my opinion Aikea Rieko went above and beyond in helping me get the skin that I had purchased. She is polite and very quick at keeping her customers happy. So thank you! Aikea, you truly made this woman over the moon. There is not enough thank you that can cover your amazing gesture, and I will continue to be a most loyal fan of your work and of your store. Keep it up girl you rock!

The Plastik & Windlight…

This morning I was on a mission. A mission to bring you something completely different in a great big epic post, and then SL went and took a dump. I was over at Plastik trying to get all my parts in order when after my last purchase I got booted, not only did I pay for the item, it never showed up in my inventory, sooooo we will do this in 2 parts my friends *smiles* Fear not! There is much creativity abound.

As I was saying, I was over at Plastik, yes, I am addicted. I have been a loyal shopper of theirs for at least 2 years, and I have about *goes to count*about 40 outfits and 2 skins (one of which was my failed purchase this morning). I LOVE this store, like I don’t just love the clothes, I love the build, I love the skins, I LOVE the fact that it’s so unique, and more stores/creators should explore their creativity the way Aikea Rieko does. She is truly amazing, with an imagination and creativity to keep it going for this long.

So I have this idea this morning as I am waiting to go to my SL job. I have been really intrigued by the new skins at Plastik, and decided to go and choose 2 and blog them. Initially this was supposed to be a combined post, however maybe it’s best that it is not.

When I landed at the store there was a HUGE display of goodies just in time for Valentine’s day INCLUDING some Valentine skins! I quickly scooped up all the demos and tried them on, finally settling on :[P]:-Valentine's 2011Skin-Camellia. When I got it I was surprised even more to see that the elven ears were included. I don’t know about you guys, but nothing is worse than getting a themed skin and having to re-colour the parts yourself, you never get it right. Well here is your solution, it’s ALREADY DONE for you! Once I put it on, I knew exactly what to pair it with.

Blacklace came out with an amazing angel costume that I blogged over Halloween, I just adore the workmanship that went into this peice, so what better way to showcase them both then put them together.

The skin from Plastik looks OMG AMAZING in windlight! I have recently been messing around with the filters doing photography and this skin and the lighting almost made me fall out of my chair, I seriously almost jizzed. Putting it with the ensemble from Blacklace was PERFECT! Adding to it Bax Prestige boots in white, and a little Rozoregalia, and hair from Magika and the look is complete. Above is a fun shot, but this photo below, seriously took my breath away, and to quote my sister Rose: “wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow” as you will see for yourself…

Let’s just say, I hope hope hope I get redelivery of the second skin I purchased so I can make part two equally as amazing as this post. GREAT JOB PLASTIK! I have always been and will forever be a fan. Kudos for keeping SL fresh and unique with your own amazingness!

OMG the outfit is so hot you had to see it first to truly understand just how much I adore this store. Yes, it’s a bit on the pricy side for most but I purchased this complete outfit for $550L yesterday and have not taken it off since! Mind you, for my preferences I made some changes. HOWEVER, what you get is the outfit, and prim fur trim, also a prim fur bottom to the corset that cascades behind you, its really pretty, but for me it was too much. It also comes with the cutest boots which are my only complaint. There is no option to turn off the sporadic bling that comes from the heel, and because of that, I chose to not wear them for this blog, instead, I replaced them with the trusty and always sexy Bax Prestige boot.

I know this entry is short, but honestly, the outfit speaks for itself. Its hot, sexy, dramatic, and well put together. I couldn’t choose which pose to use to showcase it, and then I went on a photography spree, snapping all kinds of pics. This outfit, truly inspired me to ignite the creative side again.

Yes the classic Kid n’ Play song from when I was much much younger…haha.. Yesterday as friends and I were reminiscing over old school videos, the bright colours and lights made me think of this one store that I absolutely adore. I love it for a few reasons: a) Great Prices, and b) Great selection of clothing.

The creators over at Amerie have done a wonderful job with both their men’s and women’s fashion lines, going in there this morning I easily spent almost $1k Linden on clothing that just screamed my name, and one of those items was this cute little jumpsuit that I just had to have. Well ok, I have it in black already, but I wanted it in purple too….

When I put it on, I knew exactly what poses I needed. Thanks to PS Poseworks and their freebie Hip Hop selections! Totally went for what I wanted to do.

I LOVE LOVE this jumpsuit! It comes in a variety of colous, and the prim parts are oversized so you just have to shrink them as opposed to making them bigger (like on most clothes) Yes folks there is a re-sizer thank God! I paired this outfit up with a nice pair of Maitreya’s and we are off to the races!

Seriously made me wannna get out and dance, just sayin’.

I 've been on the grid for 3+ years now. As such, I have amassed a gross amount of items in inventory, currently up to just under 70,000 items (and that will slim down as I consolidate my stuff). "How do you keep all your stuff straight, Kilo?" someone once asked me. Well ... here's a little secret: I don't. Hence my post. I have danced, hosted, DJ (still DJ more than the other two *beams*), built (who knew? LMAO) and one thing I found that I simply can't do without when it comes to the last option is my texture organizer, purchased from Kinex. This nifty 12-drawer texture/sculpty organizer comes with enough functionality that you can organize your building textures, scuplties AND (wait for it....) YOUR FASHIONS BY PICTURE if you so desired.

Kinex uses a relatively simple drag-and-drop technology to make sorting through your stuff easier. In the example above, I have started putting the ads from my SN@TCH newsletter into the Kinex system by highlighting it, dragging the items over to the drawer marked SN@TCH (top left green category box), then holding down the ctrl key on my keyboard before dropping (you HAVE to do that part or it won't work).

No need to worry abou accidentally adding the same picture two/three/multiple times; duplicates function on this thing is your friiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeend! You can set a bin up for each store (some will require more than one/two - each "category" does have a photo limit. Drop a piccie in the wrong category? NO WORRIES!! Just click the pick on the grid side (left), select move to and voila...all done [there are mass move/copy commands as well] This thing is really user friendly and copyable so you can make as many as you want! Now...my only complaint with this is that it's limited to 12 categories per kinex. so copying can be a bit of a pain if you like to leave your toys out. If you're this person, I recommend:

1 - renaming each kinex you drop (still keep kinex in the title so it's easy to find)
2 - pull them up when you don't need them.

Best I can tell, they're no using scripts that constantly run, but considering the way lag is on the grid in general...I'd recommend it anyway ;-)

Now back to the organizing your fashions part of this. Once you've added in these piccies, you can now delete them from your inventory (either piccie or nc with piccie in them) to help consolidate space. This is a great thing for if you have a huge inventory like me. Some people like to delete their LMs, NCs and even the piccies out of their clothing folder. But if you're anything like me...you may forget what something looks like. So my Kinex is truly my one-stop shop for playing dress-up. I simply open my NC(s) with the pick in it. Toss the piccies of the stuff I own into my Kinex, delete the nc (or piccie) and go. *ALL PICCIES MUST BE FULL PERM IN THE KINEX OR IT WON'T SHOW*

Then...when I want to remember what is in each folder (not all items come with a photo...so see? ... helps you remember *winks*) so I can pick something to wear, I rez my Kinex, click the drawer and start looking. Once I know what I want to wear (like today's ensemble seen above), then voila...I'm dressed and off the parcel! WOOTS! (Another secret...I just started remembering I could use Kinex for this...LAST NIGHT. I've had Kinex for almost TWO YEARS! GAH! All that time wasted! X.X)

So yeah..there it is. Kinex...a rediscovered gem in my massive inventory that I simply can not do without and SN@TCH one of the my favorite places to shop (and urf displays) that I wouldn't dream of abandoning in my inventory. And since I'm showing you interface and junk...I figured I'd offer up the cameos of my screen so you can see my other SL survival tools as well.

When this yummy little number appeared in my inventory a few days ago, I knew I had to come up with something a lil bit different.

Meet Phyllis ii, !Stare!'s newest shape in owner Talah Magic's ever expanding store. Clocking in at a startling 6'1" without shoes, Phyllis ii, to date is the tallest AV coming out of the !Stare! camp.

As I tried on different skins with this new shape, I found that in face, Phyllis is a cross between Janet Jackson (before she lost her baby fat) and surprisingly, Kim Kardashian. And not in that "oh man...who messed up the face on the shape" sort of way. Phyllis is just one of those unforgettable faces that will have you wishing you too had that SLebrity star quality that shines through in this exquisite shape. Long legs, nice lil plump bottom without it rezzing all over your screen, curves in all the right places...who wouldn't wanna be Miss Kardashian for a day (save that infamous RayJ video that is)?

So I happily put on one of the newest skins from Ooh-la-licious and voila...we got a gorgeous SLebrity look-a-like in the making :) This skin is lovely. The gloss on the lips plumps them to the point where I (and this may be a TMI moment) almost kissed the screen. They ooze that "come and get me" vibe when you zoom in. The beauty mark just sets the mouth off perfectly. The honey shading on the skin gives it an extremely touchable look to it and simply begging to be gazed upon. Again...simply put: stunning!

So after getting my SLebrity ready for her debut from her beach house, I slipped her into Zaara's Acira minidress in silver. Now...I know what you're thinking: Kilo...all I see is her bottom...where's the dress? Well sports fans..that's why you get slurls now...isn't it :P As I rezzed into this dress, my body simply cooed the word purrrrrrrrrrrfect, which of course made me finally hunker down and go get some Purrfect 10 shoes! Specifically...the Amara Heels Autumn in silver. I may or may not have shop*gasm'd when I slid them on. It was ... heavenly *sighs whimsically*

After getting our gorgeous girl up and running and ready for her debut, I topped off her look with some Wicked Gear and awayyyyyyyyy I went. Phyllis may not be the RL Janet or Kim, but I guarantee you...she looks a lot like them both...and has more than enough star quality ;)

So who are you rooting for? Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers? Either way, on Sunday February 6th, 2011 at about 3:30SLT (or 9am, depending just how much your man likes all that pre-game stuff) be prepared to see hardly a male avi in sight as Super Bowl XLV gets underway. Cause ladies, who can resist those buff and beefy football type men in spandex right? *grins*

So in honour of the upcoming MBR (Male Bonding Retreat), I bring you one of SL’s own SFL Franchises! I introduce to you the Wicked Cowboys!

The team consists of some of the funniest guys I know, and lemme tell ya, it’s one of the best looking SFL teams I have seen! Both player wise, and game wise. Their last game was super close, and a tad controversial, but we all know who really won *winks* Great Job guys! I am so honoured to have had practice time with ya, even if it was just the one time.

So on to how this relates with SHOPPING! Oh and it does my pretties, it really does!

I'm all for people earning the most for their hard work, but I think some designers have gotten really carried away with their pricing, especially in such hard economic times across the grid and real world... so, I give credit where credit is due. I wanted to give props to those who make nice items and sell them at a price you simply can't say "no" to.

Today's blog, I've got a few different highlights. First, I need to mention that the Dahlinks Gate belt worn is right now on sale for Dahlinks birthday! So get in there ASAP and stock up on the Dahlinks Glitter at 50% off, You won't want to miss out.

Now onto the clothes, The dress was a SL Marketplace find. At $99L - How could I refuse? Now, I will say, I was concerned at the price because, you know, sometimes you buy something inexpensive like that and it turns out horrible and nothing like the picture, This is not the case with the :::AMULET::: Aroa Black dress. It's a LIMITED TIME Promo price so snag it while you can! I didn't find an in world store for this designer, but, The link bounces to the SL Market place dress for the Aroa Black dress. See, I'm thinkin' ahead this time!

The boots... Yes, those drop dead sexy boots were a mere $250L. You heard me right. A sexy pair of stiletto boots with all those wonderful leather straps for only $250L. I know, I almost passed out too. The Ayara "Black Seduction" Thigh High boots can be found on the SL Marketplace or you can shop the Ayara in world store. I see good things with this designer!!! Definitely a must watch. These boots are also available in Red and white, and at that price, you can afford to buy all three pairs for what you'd probably spend on one at other stores.

Baby It’s Cold Outside…

So let’s heat it up a bit shall we?

Once again, I am up far too early because of this cold. I dunno bout you guys but I don’t ever recall being this sick, like ever! Either way it is giving me great time to hunker down and put my things in order for the year.

Today I am brining you a lil bit of winter, mixed with a lil bit of summer, together they make such a cute combination I couldn’t let it slip past without blogging.

There is only one thing in this venture that is new and it is the hair. Which, is also a FREEBIE if you join the Iren Group! I don’t have a lot of Iren hair, only a few styles however when I saw this one, it screamed for me, I had to have it, so I ran to join the group immediately I love the hat, and for once my breasts don’t eat my hair! Thank you there is a God!

The outfit is from a place called Crazy. I picked it up last year sometime and haven’t worn it much, but together it just makes the ensemble too cute. It comes in Blue and Grey, both within the same folder so you don’t have to buy two items. The prim sleeve cuffs are wonderful and required little to no modding at all. I really really love this outfit! I had to share.

“Tiny” Feature…

Yes today is a day for goofy. We spend so much time in life being serious and all about work work work, that it’s rare that we have time for fun anymore. So I bring you my little *snickers* version of fun.

If you are in our circle of friends you know that my sisters and I are HUGE goofballs, we love to joke, prank, and just be down right stoopid sometimes. It’s a good way to bond, relieve stress, and most importantly HAVING FUN. Let’s face it, SL isn’t always about working for a virtual job to make virtual money etc. That is when it becomes too much like the real world, and quite frankly that gets really old, really fast. So anyways… back to the point of my post.

My sisters and I are the most epic connoisseurs of the “Tiny avatar”. We started all together with Loco Pocos, and it’s just exploded from there. Different animals, characters, dances specifically for the tiny’s, even rides, flying hippos, and a whole bunch of other crazy which I won’t even start to explain. So the other day I was SIM hopping , with my eye out for something specific when I came across Pink Fuel. Now, Pink Fuel is known for their great affordable skins, and other cute stuff, but I had NO IDEA they did tiny’s. If you could have seen me doing the happy dance in my chair, you would have laughed.

Sooo much to choose from it took me forever to decide between the piggy and the yeti, but one of them won out in the end.

At the bottom you can also see about 6 versions of a tiny teddy bear avi too, and they are just as cute. Go to the store, and it’s on the left as soon as you walk in, and each avi is about $100L

Now when I saw the WICKED YETI, I knew he had to be mine, so I took him on a trip. Here are a couple of photos just for you guys.

So just remember, even in Secondlife you too can have fun, try on a tiny for size, you might actually have so much fun and laugh so hard you may just smile again.

Okay, I've SWORN by Mysti Tools for YEARS now. And I've learned, though it may not be true, through the grape vine that the creator of Mysti Tools may have left Secondlife. This made me sad because it is/was a great hud.... but lemmie tell ya, the lag Mysti gives is like walking through molasses on a cool day...

But I've found the next generation. The hud that EVERYONE needs to own. Stasis. It has an AO built in, TP Features, Radar, and sooooo very much more. When I log in, it tells me which servers are being rolled and honestly, I don't know where this thing has been all my SL!!!!

Damn you Xeph Brunsen for creating a hud that I can't take off and have come to rely on almost as much as my daggers.

This Stasis hud is bar none, not to be matched or replaced. And, at 300 linden, it's worth the chance that you'll fall in love with the huds multiple excellent features as well. It's not overwhelming on the screen like other huds I've tried either. It's very nice.

I've been told through the grape vine that he continues to do updates to the huds features, and plans in the future to release the hud in multiple languages, so never fear my French, German, Dutch, Portuguese speaking brethren - You shall be included in the latest and greatest as well!!!

EVERYDAY We Should Think Pink

I have a friend, her name is Erin. She is in her late 20’s and she just lost her Aunt to breast Cancer. Before that she lost her Grandmother, and before that, another Aunt. Her mother broke the news to her a month ago that she now has Breast Cancer but thanks to her diligence of Breast Self-Examinations (BSE), the doctors think they caught it soon enough that she will beat it. Erin is a trooper, to be so young and suffer so much loss in such a short period of time.

We as a society seem to lump certain causes into “Months” like Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and so on, but this is something that touches EVERYONE. Everyone has a Mother. Breast Cancer is also not just targeted to women, yep, men get it too! That is why it is imperative that you do a BSE every chance you get. It’s not to be paranoid, or over reacting. I personally know a few women who have indeed saved their own lives by getting lumps checked. Most recently a co-worker who thought it was silly to go to the doctor about a lump. Luckily she did, the mass was so close to her body wall, had she of waited longer the doctor said she wouldn’t have had a fighting chance.

So FIGHT! FIGHT to survive, FIGHT for a cure!

Going Rogue

No, not the god awful book of propaganda by Sarah Freaking Palin.... The outfit! Rogue from Graves.... wow... all I can say is wow... it's everything I was looking for today. I was angry, and sad, depressed, and determined all in one fell swoop.

So I was searching desperately for an outfit that represented that feeling. For multiple reasons. I wanted to do a new profile image to reflect this inner turmoil outwardly as well.... I think I accomplished this... either that or I successfully scared the crap out of my sister. She said I simply looked "Scurrah" in the pic... meh... I just like the overall look...

So, what I'm wearing is Graves - Rogue outfit. I love every detail of this outfit. Honestly, I can't find anything wrong with any piece, and like all graves apparel, it comes in multiple layers so that you can customize the look as you need.

A RL moment leading to SL expressionism: When I was little, I wanted nothing more than to sport a ginormous afro. For a long time I rocked the afro puffs; at least til I was about seven years old. That summer, while I was visiting family in my mamma's hometown, my aunts took a really poorly made straightening comb to my hair, because they didn't know what to do with my "naps." I was tender-headed and my wincing and crying over the pain from when they tried to comb through my thick, tightly curled mane was simply too much for them to bear. Enter phase one of the evolution of my hair. When I returned home that summer, my mother was furious. She couldn't believe I would LET them touch my hair (dude...I was seven for Pete's sake! You listen to your elders then...duuuuuuuuuuh!) and ruin its natural courseness with a straightening comb. Moving on, since then, I have rocked braids, then relaxers with long hair and eventually just kept it pulled back. I remember going to my mom one day and telling her I wanted to cut it all off. I wanted it as close to the skin as possible; I intended to go natural. She refused. I told her to help me or I'd do it myself. So in her attempt at "controlled" assistance, she cut my hair down to a mushroom cut (ew).

A few days later, she landed in the hospital with complications from an operation from long before. While she was gone...first thing I did was run to the barber shop and chopped every lick of my hair off. When she saw me, she snorted and simply replied, "I knew you were gonna do that...just couldn't wait til I was in here, huh?" I nodded happily and stuck out my tongue; she laughed. Since then, I have only gone back to relaxed hair maybe once or twice. Otherwise...I wear what I have now: my natural afrolicious afro (or a short baby afro depending upon I cut it). My mom STILL gives me crap about it LOL.

I've always wondered what I'd look like with just a plain old to-the-skin bald look; but lacked the bravery to try it. Insert Second Life. For the longest time, even in here I couldn't find a good way to express that desire to rock a baldy. Every time I tried, someone would tell me it didn't look right. So I never did it. Then skins with hairbases came out. I was elated beyond belief. I found a skin that let me rock a really short do without having to buy any more hair (Yay me (though I do still buy hair and wear it regularly :P)!).

Then late last night, I read Fashionable Bald (blogger's challenge) from the feeds, which led me to the article on Coffee Smoke. Those two posts rejuvenated my desire to strip down the dome and rock a baldy and knowing someone out there may be going through this made me proud to do so. Sporting a bald head is just as fashionable as rocking a fly boa around the neck, wearing a cap to cover up, pasting a bow on it (yes, I have seen this IRL) or even...rocking a wig like we often do by wearing hair inworld ;) I chose to leave my dome bare because simply put: bald...is beautiful. It brings out so many other features on one's face that you can't help but look someone in the eye when they have no hair to focus on.

To Miss Shellbee: you are a brave woman. Your journey will be something and a half and I don't envy your position. My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go on this journey and I'm glad someone gave me a snapshot of you in so few lines. Your friend's love for you and support of you is awe-inspiring.

As I created my picture to show my support, I was reminded of India.Arie's "I Am Not My Hair". There is a section where she speaks of a woman going through chemotherapy and later being on television, eyes sparkling, bald as the full moon shining. That image...has always made me smile. So today's blog and the song are dedicated to you, Miss Shellbee, for you will always be beautiful.

New Sexy From Graves!

So this one time (last night) I was kinda tired of shopping in world and decided that I would take a peek and see if anything caught my eye via the Marketplace. I have to say that recently I have been finding some GREAT NEW content creators this way! I know most people are not impressed with listing fees, and all the changes that the Marketplace made in 2010, but as one of those people who disliked it at first, I have quickly adapted to the new way of “easy” shopping and have actually found some amazing items from shoes, to skins, to accessories, and even houses! *yes my newest addiction is buying houses* So I do have a point, I like to ramble as you already know.

So last night I head on to Marketplace and look at the new listed items, on the first page was this HOT SEXY number from Graves, and it hit me like *BAM* right in my face, my eyes were immediately drawn to the add, and I HAD TO HAVE IT!!!!! In my OCD shoppingness and need to get a better deal, I knew Graves was in world and promptly TP’d to the store to find out that this is not the only new release, there are about 3 of them, all equally sexy, but this one screamed my name. Before you ask, yes the price listed on Marketplace is also the price being sold at in world (since I do know there are some content creators that give a discount to those items purchased in world for various reasons such as traffic generation etc).

As you would expect from any Graves item, this is complete with a multitude of layers and all the extra prims. Also included are glasses (not the ones pictured though). Earrings, and 2 versions of a belly chain – one with a key card and one without. The blouses come in solid white or sheer (see through), and the shirt collar comes with or without the tie. Personally I think the tie adds some masculine sexy to a highly feminine ensemble.

So if you are looking to be a Secret Agent, Business woman, heck, even a Domme, this outfit is up your alley! But don’t just take my word for it. The picture does this no justice, I totally *gasm’ed when I put it on, and you will too!

NEW Conners Sheer Tops

Well hello again fellow bloggers, readers, and fasionistas! I know 3 posts in a row, what the heck am I on right? Seriously though, I know my blogging was seriously lacking in 2010, but I am turning a new leaf on many aspects of my SL and my RL, and well this is one of them. I am aiming to blog at least 2 times a week this year to make up for lost time, and to not limit it to just fashion. Fashion is always at the base of course, but there are so many other things that enrich our SL lives that we can incorporate them all together. I always enjoyed to blog, but have not had any inspiration as of late, however this morning I did! *Thank you by the way*.

Today I bring you the newest release from Connors! It is a cute sheer top that has a low dip in the back and open sides on the sleeves. It comes in 4 patterns/colours, which are amazing, and at $150L a piece they are also quite affordable. I went for the red leopard, and the green camo. I REALLY like this top, so much in fact that I had to blog its awesomeness. You can wear it with or without the bra underneath (which is included).

The ONLY fail I have to comment on is the fact the bra layer is only on the undershirt layer. This meant I had to do some rearranging of my tattoos to complete my look. This item would be better suited if the bra was made on all layers. But to each their own, the tops – still ROCKS. They are cute as hell and I think you need to go check it out and get one for yourself, hell, get them all they are well within the affordable range for those of us who are frugal when it comes to our well earned lindens.

I was feeling extra quirky today. Nothing in my wardrobe was hitting my mood so, I decided to check out the exchange and work somethin' out. While flipping through the abundance of slutty things SL designers seem to put out en masse... nothing was really jumping out at me, UNTIL THIS!

Frop! 's Apron Dress in Chaos. Yepper - CHAOS. It was PERFECT!

So then I thought, omuhgosh, I can wear the new Truth group Holiday gifty- Drake, which I'm pretty sure was supposed to be for guys but... I think I look cute as hell...like.. 1980's Madonna in Who's that Girl - cute.

And then of course, I had to pair it with some epic kicks, so I grabbed my League High tops and color changed them to match the green in the outfit.

Can you tell I'm excited about all this? Yes. It's... erm... bright... and yes, it's not exactly that chic look all the fashion avi's are jumping all over like rats to cheese... BUT, it's different, fun, and funky. Which is exactly what I was trying to achieve.

Did I miss the mark? Only time will tell....

Reporting live from Lightening Video...

This is Winter News and I'm your roving reporter. The mood at today's scene is both disturbing and confusing. How these three reindeer managed to take such a downturn so quickly has baffled both staff and customers alike! But let's recap how I happened upon this scene of disarray that has left one deer passed out, another caught with his snout in the Christmas stocking and another holding gifts and bows hostage...

As the Christmas season winds down, some are slowly re-emerging onto the grid to celebrate the holiday season with their online loved ones. Knowing my special someone had spent a long day at work on Christmas Day of all days, I thought I'd surprise him with a movie classic from the 80's called "Santa Claus: The Movie". If you've never seen this movie, you simply MUST! John Lithgow as a bad dude, Dudley Moore as a rogue elf and New Edition singing the in the background...WHAT??? Ok...so maybe I'm one of the five people that actually saw this movie...all the more reason to find it and share it with someone special (read: torture them with my nostalgia). But I digress...I slipped into my spiffy new holiday boots (a holiday release from Bax Boots), my free gift dress from Fishy Strawberry (with an awesome bow) and headed out to find my movie!

I went to every movie place I could think of inworld to find it (Shaft, XL Movies, Millions to name a few)...no deal. Then I went to my tried and true go-to place: Lightening Video. I mean surely they had to have it, right? Upon teleporting in, I turned around to gain my bearings and of course...rez...only to find a trio of reindeer got into the egg nog just a little too much. Meet: Dasher, Dancer and Prancer aka the party animals of the Reindeer 8, an outfit of deer commissioned by none other than Saint Nick to help deliver presents to all the good little boy and girl avatars of Second Life.

As I slowly approached these three deer, the smell of egg nog, peppermint and a very sweet smelling substance emitted from the area. The decorations that should have been on the tree...somehow had found their way onto the culprits of this lively scene. Donder was passed out on some of the gifts, a poor bagged satchel quivering in terror underneath him; Vixen appeared to be trying to eat some of the evidence and Blitzen... I ... I simply have no words...

As I approached the scene, Vixen looked quite skittish, so I interviewed her first...

Me: Vixen, what...happened? Was the stress too much? Did you guys make a pit stop? What has made you turn from such a pleasant crew to partying so hard that you've caused this much damage on a poor, unsuspecting store??
Vixen: *chews* ughmph *gnaws* mmm *swallows* lookah hur woman...YOU try luggin' that red and white dude and all his stuff around...shooo sometimes a deer just need ta unwind! Now back it up...you steppin' on mah oregano laced fruitcake!
Me: Um...Vixen... that's YOUR hoof in the fruitcake, not my foot...
Vixen: Whaaaaaaaaaatever! Back it up! (some nerve! O.O)

I tried to interview Donder, but he was still out cold. Near him, I found his drug of choice (see insert). I tried to get a clear answer out of Blitzen, but um...the green bow on his butt was all that was needed.It would appear that the cause for all this trouble was narrowed to some laced fruitcake (not oregano as Vixen has tried to lead us to believe), some tainted cookies (seen by Donder) and some spiked candy canes. Moving on...

I never did manage to find my favorite Christmas Movie to share, but I did pick up "Love Actually" (one of my personal all-time favorites) which not only makes for a GREAT Christmas movie, but also Valentine's day as well. Let's hope he likes it as well *giggles*

Kilo Meets and Stares at ... Kim

Pint-sized, spunky, a little tomboyish. Introducing...

Kim by ~!Stare!~

So I got a message from Talah Magic and a folder (called "Kim for Bloggers") with this exquisite little shape in it with style card and notes about how the creator viewed one of her newest creations. The shape is designed to go with an Asian skin, the frame, a hopeful intent to bring her perception of a young asian female. I'm not sure where, but she also sent out a notice or message (either in her group, on her blog or on her facebook...yes..Stare is EVERYWHERE) stating she was looking for customers (or aspiring photogs) to create ads for her shapes. And if she likes them, she'll even use them in the store. So I figured, "why not? Let's give it a go!"

I loved this shape from the first time I put it on. While she's a little boxy and her body's features quite petite, I loved that someone is creating smaller avatars with more true to real life heights and sizes out there for those residents that prefer to not be Glamazing Amazons (yes, Glamazing is a word...I know because I just thought it up :P). Anyway...back to Kim! I had a little bit of trouble shooting her, because well...I'm still a beginner in photoshop and still learning light and angles for shooting.

I wanted to give Kim an up-to-date, kick ya in the pants but still look pretty while doing it look, so I sat on my parcel for a while trying to think of what I had that was attidudinal, but cute (yay more Kilo word creations :P). While rummaging through my uber large inventory (yeah...we won't talk numbers...it's huge), I came across an outfit from Delirium I totally forgot I had and slipped it on and thought .... oooh yeah...that's what I'm talking about! After putting it on, I thought of 99 Elephants, a store that is all about the mohawk and not the hard, stab you in the eye types of hawks one usually sees affiliated with the style. Remembering I had Docs, I tossed em on, updated the holes and laces to pink and voila! Kim...short, spunky, fun-sized, attitudinal AND cute. The two shots above are my attempts at making ad shots for it. Hope Talah likes them! Toodles gang!

I was putsing about on Facebook today when I stumbled across a post from Poulet of Purple Moon Clothiers.... and OMG am I glad I did. She has released a limited time, limited quantity set of gowns like no other. FOUR fabulous gowns. Today I'm going to show you my favorite of the bunch, blossom.

With it's elegant snowflake details in the lace and sheer bodice to it's form flattering skirt, I just can't imagine a holiday without this dress. It's beauty is simplistic and sexy. The snowflake enlarged collar is just a perfect edition to this gown.

Raising Awareness

While this is a fashion blog, sometimes I feel compelled to do what I can to assist good causes. Today is no exception.

The folks over at Sixx Pack have put together an all day event today in order to raise funds and awareness for children and the few adults who survive, Epidermolysis Bullosa. This rare skin disease is an inherited connective tissue disease causing blisters to the skin and mucosal membranes. Its severity ranges from mild to LETHAL. Most children born with this do not live past an average of 2 years. It has been described akin to having 3rd degree burns your whole life and is quite painful.

The University of Minnesota has done a bone marrow transplant on a 2 year old child and found it to be successful, but more research and funding is needed to help, please come down to Sixx Pack today and help the caring folks by bidding on an auctioned item, person, or service or simply donate what you can to the donation jar. All parties today are mixers so both male and female avatars are welcomed to join in.

New Attitude!!

The smoky gaze, that come hither stare, the cutest little upturn to the corner of her lip...she's flirting with you. This is what I saw when I met Daisy. She's pint-sized, cute as a button and definitely someone worth getting to know. I was over on the Dahlinks Sim the other day having a look at their new SFL collection of jewelry, when the cutest little thing caught my eye: this bubbly little short lady running around the store.

She was petite, spunky and bouncing off the walls and I totally was taken by her energy. So naturally, I struck up a conversation with her, eventually asking where she got her shape because it was done really well. In response, she simply pointed upstairs. She scrawled on a little napkin "follow me" and up the stairs I went. Reading her profile, I realized I was speaking to Talah Magic, owner of !Stare!, SL's newest shape store. She doesn't speak; simply emotes and writes messages on biodegradable napkins. But words are simply not always needed. She showed me around her shop and stopped in front of one of her first shapes and there she was: Daisy

Clocking in at 5"8" this avi is a little shorter than average, has petite, delicate features, but packs on powerhouse punch of spunk and exuberance when paired with the right skin, hair and overall attitude of the person putting it on. And Talah has just that: a pint-sized, flirty nature that truly brought her creation to life.

Unable to resist the want to try it out for myself, I went ahead and bought the shape (something I've never done not once in SL - I've NEVER bought my own shape! O.O).

I tried to follow the style card (which each shape comes with a style card to help you bring out the best of your shape). But you know me...I had to make it my own. I tried it on my skin, totally didn't work. So I rummaged through my inventory and found the PERFECT combination!

When I put it on, I felt the bubbles, the batting of the lashes start and I thought to myself, 'oooh...to be someone else for a day...let's see!'. So after sifting through my inventory, I came up with the look on the left! I may not keep this look, I was missing my regular skin halfway through shooting LOL, but man was it fun pretending to be someone else for the moment! But I digress. I think...I think I nailed it....but you be the judge.

In the past few months, more young people (our babies) have been taking their own lives because they have succumbed to bullying for their personal choices, be they loving someone of the same gender, for loving both genders, different lifestyles, color, creed, you name it.

EVERY suicide, no matter the reason, is a tragedy. EVERY hate crime is a tragedy, no matter the reason. It is NOT OKAY. We are all human beings, different and beautiful. And not one single one of us have any right to judge, berate, bully or cause harm to another for being different.

Today is National Spirit Day aka "Wear Purple" day. This marks the day of silent support for our fellow members of the GLBT community as well as our GLBT youth and anyone that suffers from incessant bullying by their peers. This type of behavior is not acceptable and it needs to end. So even though it's ... just a shirt .. wear it. The message is quite clear: stand up for your friends, for yourselves, against hate and persecution for being different.

Don't be a jerk, teach all of our children (and a few of our adults) NOT to hate. The tragedies that have befallen these youth and their families is not race/gender/sexual orientation specific. It CAN happen to you or someone in your family. So stand up. Stop the bullying and the hate. This is too important not to.

Vindicated....or not...

When I first posted the blog about "Latex Exploration" I knew I would get a few comments because Kayliwulf has such a large following, what with the brand loyalty and loyalty to the owner, who I agree is brilliant in their marketing and a very nice person. I sit here, baffled actually at the amount of hatred and venom directed AT me for my honest blog. I don't write these blogs to rip apart any one designer, it just happened that on that particular night, I was inspired by the lack of any other designers' latex in the room. I wanted to make a point that, there are in fact other and yes, better options out there.

Make no mistake, I wasn't attacking how "nice" the owner was. Or the fact they sponsor a ton of events grid wide. I know they do. I also know that has helped their business expand beyond the small store they started with into a multi sim megaplex. Designers grid wide can learn a lot from the business model KK has established. Clearly, the brand loyalty is very strong amongst those in SL.

I had no intentions of commenting on the numerous hate-filled comments left on that blog. They didn't effect me in the least as I know they are entitled to their opinions as well. I do appreciate the comments telling me that my information isn't up to date. My question to them is, how would the average Avi who doesn't live in KK items know this without spending the extremely priced amount for the outfit? I was basing my review on items I own, which I do admit was from a year or more ago, however, those items are STILL BEING SOLD. I found them. Yes, boots and all. Unchanged in their advertisements. So how am I to know, they've updated them? Which brings me to a previous point of: why can't KK update to the tech of the times? Send already owned updates out. A good friend of mine actually requested the updated version of an item she owned, only to receive the very same item. So I ask, where have they updated? It's the same old tune as far as I've seen. Now, if I'm shown differently, then I will amend MY OPINION. Until then, I stand by my blog expressing that there are A LOT BETTER options in Latex these days on the grid than Kayliwulf Kingdom.

This is a fashion blog after all, And we pride ourselves with writing the good and the bad to inform the SL consumers. I thank you all for your time in reading the blog, we greatly appreciate your feedback. Those who actually made useful statements that is.... Then we get to the ignorance like the latest comment... and I quote...

"You really are one sad person. People like you should just die now because
you are worthless to society. Go to hell bitch."

Yep, that was posted Anonymously. Cute right? I think it's adorable because they posted all hater like accusing me of being sad and worthless when, they're doing the very same thing except, they're attacking someone on their opinions rather than providing any sort of basis for it. I'm not sure that an SL Fashion blog about SL Fashion would constitute having to die and go to hell, but I admire the writers strong feelings on the subject, it means, as a writer, I've done my job. I've elicited emotion.

Thanks for the compliments loves. I'm not always this harsh on a store. You need only to read my others posts. ;)

Halloween @ Blacklace 2010

Most of you know that I am a HUGE fan of Blacklace. So it is without a doubt that I ran my butt over to the store as soon as I could afford the new Halloween releases.

Now, not only do they have the cutest little Halloween coloured lingerie, they have come out with some AMAZING costumes. I HAD to buy them all thats how cute and well put together they are. For just a little under $2500L you can own all the costumes at Blacklace for this 2010 Season. Only the ones on the back wall of the Halloween section though…. I love this time of year, and Halloween is no exception. Getting dressed up and playing that fantasy role for just one night of mischeif and mayhem is enough to last this naughty girl at least… a week *sticks out tongue* So I will let the costumes speak for themselves….. Great JOB Blacklace!

Waiting is Not a Cyn ;-)

It is said that good things come to those who wait. My patience is fickle when it comes to fashion and waiting for content creators to release items I actually wish to purchase. Even moreso when I had a slower computer (RIP Marge) that took forever to rez. As a result, I've often written off stores that when I rez, I see stuff that while hot for others, doesn't necessarily fit my personality or fashion mood.

For example... Cynful clothing. I've watched people fall all over themselves to get to Cynful because once a month, they usually put out a L$1 group item, which pulls some in to buy just that, while others buy additional items as a result. My love affair with Cynful was touch and go. It may be that I'm a bit of a fashion prude, but I have always believed that while it's okay to occasionally let your bottom hang out or the top of it be revealed, not every skirt has to be a micro mini revealing all of your goodies, nor does every pair of pants have to be super-ultra low cut for it to be sexy.

Please understand, I'm not knocking Cynful. Because they make some HOT clothes! There are a lot of stores that do this. Which is why I don't shop at most of them (LOL). It is truly a matter of taking time and looking, which prior to me getting the new puter (aptly named the CT2000 aka "BAMF" for our Dane Cook fans out there) was a massive battle of patience against old graphics card and LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAG. As a result, my personal preferences often led me to shop elsewhere, writing off this store and its fashions because every time I saw a new release, my bits were damn near hanging out of everything.

Well, yesterday morning I was looking for something a little revealing, but cute and figured, "eh, why not. I haven't been since I got my CT2000, so let's give it a whirl. I land and it rezzes and HOLY NEW STORE DESIGN BATMAN!! It's gooooooooooooorgeous! *drooool*. I spied this picture with a message reading "more coming in the fall (paraphrasing)" when I first landed. It wasn't what I was looking for when I decided to go shopping yesterday morning, but it was too cute to pass up.

This outfit, simply labeled "Cynful Special item/outfit (? - I'm not inworld...)" was only L$1 and blended my love for high-waist pants/capris/skirts with a short-sleeved cowlneck and matching shoes!! Score one for patience!!! I bought it and put it on and squeed! I LOVE the texture work on this wonderful little teaser as well as the cuteness of it overall. The cuffs didn't initially fit my thighs. Luckily, Cynful and gang thought ahead and made the cuffs modifiable so I could stretch to fit to my liking (who needs a resize script when you have copyable, modifiable prims!! YAY!!).

Happy with this purchase, I kept floating about the store, looking at Cynful with new 'puter and new eyes, eagerly looking to see whatall I missed. Looking at all the stuff that covers your bottom, I went down my list of inventoried items and said, "check, check, oooh...no wait, check" and so on, then saw this nifty little number just hanging there...calling me. It said, "Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilo...I know you waaaaaaaaaaant me....come get it girl ;-)". So I did and BINGO! I bought it. This awesome bodysuit from Cynful has two options: one with the sleeves and one without. Comes in various colors and while my computer was a little slow to rezz (thus shoddy looking primwork on the legs), it's actually well made and the linen-like texture on the outfit made it look and feel uber relaxed.

The lack of fabric on the sides made for a revealing number, while still sporting a bit of cover-up for those that can on occasion be a little shy with their bodies (yeah yeah yeah...this is just sl/it's just pixels...doesn't mean I have to dress like a hooker, leaving my cash and prizes (wow...I really need to stop listening to Dane Cook) for everyone's perusal. It's just not my personality. I reveal when needed...like working or for my mate :P). The back is out and the pant portion is a little low, but not so much that you can experience plumber's crack *shudders*. Mission accomplished? Aye...mission accomplished.

After my purchases, I went walking around the grid and stopped off for a lil bit to meditate at the Love Foundation, thinking about the good things that have come my way of late and how blessed I truly am with good friends, great family and more, then went home to chatter with one of my besties, Nicco (OMG can somebody say Hot dude?!? Back off ladies, he's VERY taken by one of my other besties *big smile*). Between meditating and our talk, which funny enough, addressed waiting on a completely different and more important topic, I found it kind of funny that my morning completely revolved around waiting, wanting, having patience and then peace with the decision(s) to wait for things to come your way. I waited for a new computer in order to continue with my DJing since Marge, my old computer died. What I received as a result was new discoveries of gorgeous places like the Love Foundation's meditation spot, new fashions on a gorgeous sim (thanks Cynful and gang!) and appreciation for the details (and people/places/friends/blessings) you miss when you don't want to wait for good (and great) things to come your way. Amazing what that patience concept brings, huh?

Now if only Cynful would hurry up and release the fall line dagummit!! I got clothes to buy!! LOL

Latex Exploration

After attending a latex event at a rather popular club last night, I looked around the room at the very limited selection of latex people seemed to be wearing. Folks had what appeared to be the same pieces on, in various colors and combinations. I didn't even have to ask where they got it, because I knew, everyone knows a Kayliwulf Kingdom item when they see it. That crayola monotoned garment with little detailed work to it, but a cute little "shine" applied to a rainbow of the same pieces.... Can we tell I'm not all that thrilled with KK latex fashions? Why you ask? It's boring. Who wants to wear the same shit?! So I went to see what was NEW at KK today... boy oh boy am I unimpressed. I'm not usually one to call out a designer but, I feel this needs saying. THERE ARE OTHER, BETTER OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOLKS!!!!

WHAT?! Something OTHER Than KK to provide latex?! Who would have thought?!

I liken Kayliwulf's products to mass marketed chinese goods. You know, poorly made but cheap and get the job done.. the problem? KK isn't cheap, in fact, for the quality of the product, it's damned expensive!!! The argument can be made that because KK promote themselves through many, many, many clubs and events and give away gift cards all the time, that it in fact isn't that expensive because you can get gift cards, but, honestly, even with a 500L gift card, the quality doesn't support the price. There are so many advancements in SL textures and prims that there simply is no excuse for wearing something that makes you look like an avi straight out of 2006. Even the models in their advertisements look jacked straight out of old school SL!

Okay so, before this blog turns into a complete "I hate Kayliwulf" blog... I better stop. But before I do, I should mention that they've come up with something new. I've not seen this little number anywhere. They've made Boob balloons. That's right, if you like looking cheap, and want that elephantitus of the tit- jugs that could make Dolly herself keel over with "ugh"... then this is the place for you!

Quality, not quantity?I will admit that KK DOES have a few acceptable pieces. Their corsets are pretty good, and I have an older outfit that was gifted to me a long time ago (circa 2008) that originally was called "master's desire" but is now sold as "Domino Delight".*pictured above* But that's about the best I can say for KK. And that's sad when a designer can't move up with the technology available, or improve beyond their first works. I won't even get into their boots... Picture's worth a 1000 words.

So all of that hateration aside.... lets move on to happier topics.... Hugo's Designs - I ADORE their latex designs. Simple, Unique looks that are "finished". IE, it doesn't look like the color just STOPS. There's some kind of visual break so the thing doesn't look painted there. It looks like a garment. It looks feasable to be worn in Real life, the lacey texture to it doesn't look like a mess, you can clearly identify what it is! Hugo's does latex in SL the way it SHOULD be done for today's highly competitive fashion world.

BTW I do in fact own a couple HD fashions. The Soma is fantastic and is only L495!!! But the BEST thing about HD, is the unique and HIGHLY DETAILED textures. My picture is just an example of some of HD's items for sale... Go there, and view all of it for yourself. See what a GOOD Latex creator can bring to the table...

Latex Station. I love latex station because they're not afraid to experiment. The concepts Latex Station has brought to the table range from the normal to the fantastical! You have to see it for yourself to believe it. I honestly can't do the store justice, it's HUGE, but here's a quick shot I took while I was there...

So, with that, to summarize... Corsets, Okay at KK.... Hugo's Designs and Latex Station are creating fashion forward admirable pieces fit for folks to wear and show off their kinky side at a reasonable price for the goods. Hi5 all of you, yeah even Kayliwulf, they did pioneer latex in SL after all...

Real Women Have Curves…

SL is a wonderful place, somewhere that we can all be individuals and have our own unique sense of style. However, after travelling around these parts for what seems an eternity (since 2007), I have come to see very little uniqueness when it comes to ones shape. Now I don’t mean to offend all the “skinnier” avies on the grid, but there is a definate lack of curve in SL, more specifically a more fuller figured avi. I have seen a handful, and of those their asses are usually bigger than the back of a flat-bed truck. Now with that said, I introduce you to Stare!

Talah Magic, is the owner /operator and shape maker extraordinaire for “Stare”. Stare By Talah Magic - Located on the Second Floor of the Dahlinks main store, just released her newest shape called “Brie”.

This is one of the very few “Curvy” or fuller figured shapes I have seen starting to pop up on the grid. The proportions are spot on (read key word PROPORTIONATE) so that your shape does not look all janky and unrealistic, and the face is absolutely stunning. I love how each detail of the body curvature is delicately sculpted on this shape. She is a shorter avie shape than most, however it suits the overall final product that Talah was aiming for. If you are on the hunt for a new curvier shape, or a new shape in general, I suggest popping over to Stare! She caters to both men and women, and has a variety of shapes to choose from. Each with their own uniqueness. A high quality shape, customized with love from the gorgeous kittah herself.

So, there's all this controversy about Mexican Sports reporter Ines Saintz attire the day she was "allegedly" sexually harassed by some of the Jets players in their locker room.

She has now provided a picture of what she was wearing that day. Her jeans look like they were painted onto her body, they're incredibly tight (is that a pimple on her left ass cheek?) and her blouse is very form fitting as well. Now, I'm all for looking good but, this is your job. Your job is to interview and work around some very macho/adrenaline infused men. Unless you're going to a dance club, strip club, or bar with your girl friends to pick up men, this attire is in no way shape or form appropriate for a work environment.

I don't feel she was "Asking for it" or any of that, but, most women know that if you dress that way, you're going to get attention. That's why women dress that way! So, if you DON'T want to be hit on or have lewd comments made about you, dress appropriately.

Kilo's Goin' To The Go-Go (well...out dancing at least :P)

So I was out and about looking for the new jeans from Swansong (ZOMG...droooooooooooooooool) and as I was walking around the store, I saw this saucy lil number out of the corner of my eye. There...in all her wonderfulness was the Breeze Kaftan advertisement (shown at the store in the blue that I ultimately purchased) and I just had to have her. I may have urfed the wall (it was sort of a blur, really...). Now...I know y'all are probably thinking, "Kilo...why are you referring to an inanimate object as a her?" BECAUSE I CAN!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA. And...because it's a dress! A really pretty dress!! O.O

So I buy the dress...I wearrrrr the dress and I'm looking at it thinking, "this is some vintage type awesome deal, Kilo!! You know what you must do" So DIVING into my inventory of over 50K items I went!! Paired it up with my Baxies (which, if you haven't been by lately, they are now offering a FREE Alpha layer for all Prestige boots - just remember to remove the foot attachment part of the boot after you apply the Alpha Layer to your avi), some hoop earrings, a classic half bundt updo and voila! Instant go-go dancer! The details on this dress are light, but gorgeous and crisp. And this blue against my skin went POP like woah. I am DEFINITELY happy with this look.

So I am hanging out and talking with my friend, Xeph the Cowboy (ooh he's cute...anyway....) and I honestly don't recall what about. I remember showing him my nifty piano from LostDog Productions (blog coming soon for THAT) and making plans for another day because he was getting ready to go. Either way...I tooled around the house a bit, played the piano, dropped stuff all about my land and STILL couldn't shake the "gotta shake my butt" feeling I had. So naturally....when the 2nd of three tp's to the exact same place came my way...I bounced, baby...YEAH!!

Off to Hot M.E.S.S. I went. Apple was DJing and lo and behold a whole rack of my friends were there! So shakey shakey went the booty...in my pretty new dress!! HOO!! Now as of the time I landed, I had yet to perform the now infamous "dance test" on this little number and honestly wasn't paying attention when I loaded the folder. Be careful folks...there's TWO prim attachment options for the skirt: one for stomach and I think the other for pelvis. I can't remember. No matter. It made for a much fuller and flowy look when I hopped on a huddle and started wigglin!!

The music was right, the beach was gorgeous, my friends looked hot and I in my relatively vintage looking go-go dancer meets mod squad-esque dress were rockin' out!! Now...that being said, I love, Love, LOVE this dress. BUT...something about when it moves, depending on how you're moving and the prims jut out of your body. A small price to pay for the flowy disposition of the skirt...and dancing in it (did I mention I went out dancing? :P). Either way, I had a blast! New dress and a night out with good peeps made for one happy Kilo. Now to figure out where else I go to shake my groove thang...hmmm...

I am a bad, bad blogger. I have a hoard of pictures I have taken...and haven't had time to blog them.

I have gone shopping, looked at the outfit and said to myself "blogworthy" then immediately said "no MEIN!! muahahahahaha". *Hangs head in shame* I have been greedy with my new discoveries of places to enjoy and make my own.

I have shopped the Maitreya sale, seeing some of my blogging brethren and sistren in the foray for a good sale and not acknowledged that I too am one of them.

I have sat here on more than one occasion to write an awe inspiring blog about something I witnessed, or people I've met in my search for the ultimate purchase only to blank as soon as the "new post" window opens. It took a while to figure out, but between my dj computer dying, a RL vacation that was sorely needed, dealing with RL as issues have come up in general, going through the highs and lows of SL "dating", exploring SL with my new shiny comp and better graphics card (HOLY WATER, BATMAN!) or honestly reading the feeds, subscribo notices, group notices and finding myself uninspired along with a few other things I haven't blogged my purchases because well..lately, I've been needing a little me time.

I'm blocked, my fellow Shop*gasmers. And that's the worst thing a writer can be. It's like taking all the air out of their car/truck tires and expecting them to drive anyway.

"But Kilo, you can do a photo blog!" some have said. HAVE YOU BEEN READING THIS THING?? Shop*gasm girls don't just show you the yay...they show you the boo, why it's boo and whether or not we'll accept said boo in leiu of historical value.

"But Kilo, I'm sure have SOMETHING you can do a quick write up about" some have said. I'm not big on quickies (don't...go anywhere with that >.>). I like to take things nice and slow (gahhhhhhhhhhh...I'm going to stop typing!!).

The last blog I wrote I think was while ALL of my friends were going through some stuff And it took a very contemplative and sentimental turn.. I found it sappy and figured...y'all get enough emo musings inworld. Do you really want them on a fashion blog? Nay. So I've just been taking time to find that spark again for doing the other something inworld that I enjoy outside of DJing. This is my first step back into that :-)

So apologies to my crew for not writing more (sissahs...ya'll can stop bugging me now :P) and to our readership for remaining silent so long. I'll be back soon, I promise.
