Connections: Letting Go/Starting Over...

Loss of net, well loss of any kind really, tends to put a lot of things in perspective.  Especially when in your 1st life, something is missing...lacking, causing you to retreat or find safe haven in your 2nd life. I've been here two years.  And in that time I have: hosted, danced, loved, been loved, married, divorced (TWICE), DJed and done so many things that I often times can't keep up. I have seen the revolving door that is how most SL friendships/connections/relationships tend to operate and honestly, it still baffles me that even when we lose our most constant of connections, we are so quick to shuffle them off as being part of a game. If you're lucky, you will find people who don't think that way; who think just like you that every connection, no matter how it was established is just as important the ones you make when you are away from your computer and in the world of flesh and bone.  But for the most part, this mentality shines through the game as though it were an edict that was brought down from the mighty hand of Linden Labs themselves: don't get attached and hold yourself accountable...it's just a game after all. I've looked over the TOS...it's not there, I promise!

As human beings, we hold on to memories of people whose touch is so indelible that when we lose that connection, we never really know how to fully recover.   So how is it that we are so quick to disregard those same feelings, just because we are avatars on a virtual screen? My zodiac says that as a scorpio, I have a hard time letting go of grudges. But it's more than that.  I have a hard time letting things go in general: memories, people, love...you name it.  It clings to me like saran wrap to the one dish in your refrigerator that you're dying to tear into, but can't because it's sealed so damn tight. LOL.  Anyway, as I was saying, I have a very hard time letting things go. Especially when they can be so good, that the idea of losing them is inconceivable.

But as with all things in life, loss is inevitable. How we handle those things is how we find our peace, our inner strength and sometimes...the thick of what we're made of. In the past two ... correction six months, I have suffered the most significant losses of my SL experiences: a lover, a best friend, a cousin. But I gained so much more as a result: new friends, new family, new perspective.  Change is terrifying and at best we handle them the best we can, but not without some moment of being in our bitters. Or just feeling completely ... lost.  But what do we do for that?  Shop?  Cry?  Scream? Dance? Fight?  Yeah...we fight.  Be it silently or with everyone how we recover is a fight to let go and start over.  We don't know it when we're caught up in the midst of doing it, but every day we login...every day we take another breath, cry a little more, say a little (or a lot) less, we are fighting.  We are dancing away the gloom and doom of it all and telling that loss...that it won't beat us.

I started this entry thinking about a large group of my friends and loved ones that are going through something or other in both their 1st and 2nd lives right now.  And thinking of them...actually is helping me get over some of my own stuff...even if just a little.  So to them and to those that managed to find some semblance of understanding in all of this, I say:

Close your eyes and listen to the silence.  That is what peace feels like. Dance...like there is no tomorrow and shed the pain through every movement.  The dance is yours to dole out to your bitters and drive them away.  But don't think it will happen all at once.  It's slow...progressive and seemingly impossible.  And when you think you can't breathe on your own any more...look to either side of you.  Your true friends...they will always be by your side trying their damnedest to dance your struggles, your pain and even some of your joy away with you.  That...is how you know you are loved.

*Fashion Rant*

This is for the guys in SL. Designers too. This is my opinion, and those of most of the women I’ve spoken to about the “trend” too.

Guys: Those jeans with the prim crotch, you know the ones I’m talking about. The “Jeans with Prim cuffs and pouch” or “Prim thong with pouch” look stupid. Like REALLY stupid. If stupid had a picture in the dictionary. It’d be those styled clothes.

I mean, first of all, the only dude IRL whose package is all BADOING in clothing like that was David Bowie in Labrynth. You KNOW that was totally a tube sock in those spandex!  I still have nightmares about that dudes crotch.

You look at a guy walking down the street and his jeans aren't tight enough in the crotch for you to notice a huge bulge like that.. and if you did, you'd wonder what kinda herpes he had because normal dudes don't have a beach ball on their crotch!! Elephantitus of the sack doesn’t give you any excuse for this ridiculous trend.

You may as well have a clown punching bag there, because that's what those crotch pants/undies/thongs inspire from me.

The Winner Revealed!

Okay, we’ve had the party, it’s been a few days since said party, and I figured we should thentherewere4_002introduce the winner and runner up to the masses. You’ve seen the shirts, but if you weren’t able to attend the Musical Chairs fiesta complete with dancing girls and a kick ass DJ, then you REALLY missed a stellar party. Everyone had a blast! All three Shop*Gasm girls were in attendance and stirring up trouble!

The last three players were Lips, djrafe, and Kizmit. Kizmit went out which left Lips and djrafe for the final chair…

It was REALLY close, DJ Kilo killed the music and the dots went flyin’! Lips was just a little too slow though because djrafe planted his butt in the chair first, and so, djrafe is the winner of our Shop*Gasm thentherewere4_005Musical Chairs party!!!

We did however want to thank EVERYONE who came along to party with us. We all had such a fantastic time. We really wanted to give a special shout out to MissB for upping the pot for the Musical Chairs from 1,000 to 2,000 linden, as well as Sixxth Sense for allowing us to take over their club, and the Sixxth Sense dancers for putting up with the shenanigans while they were performing. They were AWESOME by the way :)

If you didn’t have the opportunity to join us, be on the look out for another party in the future. We had so much fun, we’re thinking about doing another type of event sometime and we’ll likely be passing out those Shop*Gasm T’s from T-Junction as well. So you’ll have another shot to get yourself one of these stellar T’s. thentherewere4_011*Pictured left to right: Kilolo, Suitelady, djrafe, Lips, and Rose*

Thanks for all of your support and love folks – We really appreciate everything!!

Demon Neko On The Prowl

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Delirium!  As you can tell, I wear it often, if not ever day.  Last week was no exception when I passed by to see what Christel Morane had come out with next.  Yes I know, bad baaaad blogger not being in the group (but I had no spaces left, SL you silly group join preventer!)  I digress.  I am now in the group again, happily as I missed being there.   Oh yeah!  Sorry got a wee bit off topic again :p

Delirium has an amazing SIM with some great stores on site.  Which is why I am showcasing the latest collaboration that D.S. has come out with.

Feeling Wild is a joint venture of Delirium, with Sil’ly.  The outfit is Neko through and through and comes with the tail, ears, bands, and collar (which does NOT give you the option to turn of the bell noise, which is my only complaint).   Low cut V to the neck is great if you have ample cleavage, and the rest of the outfit is very form fitting.  Sil’ly has provided the skin for this outfit, which is sold seperatly.  The details are AMAZING!   I have not seen a good demon neko skin in a long while, and this one takes the cake.  Comes in I believe 5 colour options as well.

If you are looking for an exotic look for under $1000L this is your match *rawr*

Happy Shopping,

♥ Suite.

Defying the laws of gravity

WGjeans_001 In today’s installment of, “there’s something seriously wrong with that girl”… I’m going to show you the latest low rise jeans to come out of Wicked Gear. They’re called “Classic low rider jeans with sculpt legs”. They’re actually REALLY nice jeans, and if not for the pixel verse, you’d need glue to hold these puppies up. Yep, they’re that low. These things wrap around your butt cheeks. Your ass is seriously showing. And that’s not your attitude. Your actual ass hangs out of these like two stoners on a couch. I understand this is the SL trend. It is definitely NOT a trend I can get behind. Pun intended.WGjeans_004

Call me a prude, or whatever you’d like, but for me, I like the air of realism. I like to put things on my scrawny Avi that might actually be worn on a skinny bitch in RL. I like the thought that in some way, I can participate in the fashion world, by being in SL. So for me, I don’t like these jeans. I don’t like that my ass is sticking out of them, for the little bit of ass that is covered by these jeans, I may as well be wearing a pair of chaps. And it’s not just THESE Jeans. I’ve seen them elsewhere at varying stores across the grid. I truly hate this SL Fad. I think it looks ridiculous. WGjeans_003

That being said, these really are BEAUTIFULLY textured. The prim bottoms actually match/work with the texture of the pant layer. So if my ass were covered, I’d totally wear these jeans daily! If you’re into this style, which the majority of the grid seems to be, these jeans are worth the linden. So stop by Wicked Gear and bare those bottoms!

*This post was in no way meant to Target Wicked Gear for this trend, I actually LOVE most of the things you can purchase from WG. I wear a ton of their things. They just happen to be the ones who have released these recently. My apologies for using them as the example.

French influence

RGCOCO_003 So, I did what I normally do when my sisters are busy and I’m bored off my gourd… SHOPPING! FTW. I actually came across TWO, count them TWWOOO outfits that I want to blog, but for the moment I’m only gonna talk about this latest one. I’ll get to the other in time. Yes. I’m teasing you. Teasing you like a hooker on a shady corner with her doctors certificate of STD Freeness. *coughs*

And back to our regular programming – I went to Redgrave. HOLY SHIT ROSE WENT TO REDGRAVE?!  OMG! I know right?! So I went to Redgrave and found this shirt. It’s an epic shirt, though I was a tad disappointed that it wasn’t as advertised. It’s ONLY the shirt part, not the skirt part too. I didn’t see where to buy the skirt part shown in the pic but, we’ll get to that later I guess. The shirt – Is called, “Shirt with Foulards”. Now, for those of you wondering what the RGCOCO_001fuck a foulard is… it’s basically a silk or cotton material, usually however it’s referenced to neckerchiefs, neck ties, and the like but in this case, it’s the shirt ruffle on the front. Why didn’t they just call it a ruffle you ask? Well, because Foulard sounds much cooler and then I wouldn’t get to inform you of the coolness that is French words! the ruffle comes in two options, “wrinkled” or “sparkled”. Personally, I like the sparkled better. The wrinkled for some reason doesn’t look like it goes with the shirt texture at all. The price for the top was pretty good for the quality. I am happy with the purchase overall.  That being said, could someone tell me how to turn off the newbie bling on the stone in the center?! I HATE BLING!!

I’ve paired the top with a pair of CoCo’s Slim Fit pants in silver. I love these pants. They’re offered in a multitude of colors and look really cute with most anything, especially a pair of baxies, which is what I’m wearing in the pics as well :) Bax boots, go with EVERYTHING. Don’t argue, you know they do.RGCOCO_002

And with that, I’m out. Peace love n chicken grease!
